  1. The magic of flight, love it!! One of my regrets in life not learning to fly..oh well, next time.
And yes, the flood is terrible.

    1. Maybe Jagbert or Prinz Dummkopf will blame it on racism or misogyny.

    2. Someone should scare the hell out of Lizzy by explaining isostatic rebound and telling her the Red River will reverse its flow in the next, oh, say, ten years. Nothing bounces like Manitoba gumbo.

  2. Good Video..!!

Got a very good buddy lives in Morris

    Just texted him and said:

Coulda sworn I saw you passed out Hammered in yer back yard with no pants on..?? Wassup.?

(..no playoffs for the Jets is apparently hard on them there ‘tobans…)

    He laffed
    I laffed
    …his neighbours laffed

    Go Flames Go..!!!

  3. Every year for the last several thousand years this occurs, and Canadians still bitch about America wanting some of our water. If it wasn’t for those generous Americans, Manitoba would be as fertile as the area around Kamloops.

Lovely shots of Morris,Manitoba, a town I briefly considered retiring to because of the name, then saw the floods.

If I want to live surrounded by water I’ll move to the Marshall Islands, at least the winters are milder.

  4. Which genius decided to ignore the advice of the nomadic indigenous and park the city next to two flooding rivers acting as a drain for the North American bath tub flood plain?

  5. That roadways and railways are still submerged despite us being now a trillion in debt (with little to show for it) is appalling.

Great examples of what can be done to mitigate the effects of flooding by just moving some dirt around with fossil fuels.

You haven’t been listening to PM Blackface. The only way to mitigate the affects of too much or too little water is to stop producing fossil fuels entirely. Notice I didn’t say stop burning fossil fuels.

    1. We should charge the Americans for the Canadian water traveling south of our Boarders.
      They didn’t specify how it’s delivered…
      Hmmm, where’s my contact?

  6. Don Morris nailed it. This is nothing new. As far back as I can remember, the Red River floods on a regular basis.
