  1. People write what gets them cash. I know some folks in the cereal grain industry and they are all about climate change right now because the government gives research dollars to those that use the buzzwords in their research proposals. Talk about a feedback loop.

    1. No, no, no, no, no! Certain rodents on SDA assure me that all researchers are, in fact, as honest and objective as the day is long. No confirmation bias due to their paymasters!

    Think about it greenies. Billions of people heating their houses which then leak heat into the environment.

    The Trudeau and Biden governments can turn down their heat first.

  5. Agreed, these people need to find something real to worry about. However, it does remind me that during my husband’s recent hospital stay I saw that they actually throw away scissors made of surgical steel after being used once instead of cleaning and repacking them. Just one small example of the madness of waste which actually is a significant problem in our society.

    1. You may have also noticed that with the thousands of hospitals, very little used or discarded or broken equipment is recycled to the public.
      Bringing in the dumpster and throwing out billions of dollars worth of equipment would be frowned upon so…
      What you don’t see, you don’t know.
      Just because equipment had gotten old, it didn’t need to be thrown out!
      The wonderful world of government funding and using up its surplus funds is usually in March. I believe for the new April year of budgets.

    2. Had a minor surgery on the nose, saw the exact same thing where the supposed nurse opened package with new scissors among other packages and after questionable application of gauze, cotton swab and tape, all of it was disposed of.
      Then they charge the ‘free’ Canadian health care a few hundred dollars.
      What’s not to like?

      Perhaps some will remember the times when doctors had a sterilizing equipment in their office. That was the time when things cost money. Today they are ‘free’.

    3. A few years ago, I had a medical condition that required occasional visits by a home nurse. She took along the necessary items, though sometimes some of it wasn’t used. The unused stuff was simply left behind even though it was still sealed inside the bag. That included metal scissors.

      Apparently, the policy is that once it comes off the shelf and leaves the office, it’s considered contaminated.

      And people wonder why medical costs are going up?

  6. In fact, those that make money, subscribe to the religion of Global Warming, and support the nonsense, if those people stopped breathing, the world would in an instant be a better place in many ways than one.

  7. Whenever we exhale, we exhale C02. And with over 7B people on the planet that is one heck of a lot of CO2. Bets on which so called western leader invokes a so called “life tax.” That would be a tax on the very air we breath. Say $100 per year for every man woman and child. Households with a family of 4 would pay $400 per year. In Canada alone that would equate to $3.5B dollars of additional revenue. In the USA: $350B. Of course they will tell us the revenue will go to fight climate change, which is a ruse for General Revenue and Dear Leader’s pet virtual signaling projects. Think I am nuts?

    My bet goes to Trudeau before his term is out. And the lefties of Central Canada would jump for joy and shout with glee. And watch the birthrate really begin to fall, which is the ultimate goal of the UN, the Davos crowd and every other lunatic lefty organization out there anyway. It is coming.

  9. The whole point of this will be to ration the peasants’ healthcare. After they ration the peasants’ mobility with artificially high fuel prices, and eliminate their ability to even complain. Never thought I’d be glad to be old.

And as I am want to do, I shall remind you all that is was the great Cat Stevens who wrote that famous “Rod Stewart” song. And it does appear as though Youseff is finding his way back to civilization … stripping off the garments of a murderous radical religion … and performing again.
