There is so much linguistic repetition from the same western leadership, it’s impossible not to see this autocracy narrative as some form of talking point that stemmed from some G7 or NATO collaboration meeting.
What kind of democracy, or rules-based order mindset, was the European Commission carrying when they decried the overwhelming national election in Hungary? Surely if the EU wanted to celebrate democracy, they would cheer for the high voter turnout that reelected Prime Minister Viktor Orban, yet they did exactly the opposite. I am (or was) hopeful of the new parties in Ontario making inroads, but I am now seeing a huge conflict arising between Karahalios and Sloan. I have no idea what is going on the Jim K’s head, but dividing the opposition to DF will only serve to get him reelected, to our extreme detriment. I am inclined to support Sloan in this, he at least appears to be sincere.

I will confess to disappointment in the spat between the New Blue Party and the Ontario Party – for two self declared Christians to go to war in public and via competing emails is not good. I disagree with which party to support. Mr. Sloan tried to run as a helicopter candidate in Calgary, Alberta in the last federal election, was soundly trounced and came back home to Ontario. I asked him why he did it by email, and got the big nothing burger response. I would support the New Blue Party because it has more candidates – they are only short by six of having a complete slate for the upcoming provincial election. As of my last generic email from Mr. Sloan, they only have about 6 candidates by my count – I could be wrong. They aren’t as close to having the full slate and could not form a government in Ontario without a coalition.
I agree that they need to make peace and stop the bickering – only one party can win, and dividing the conservative base against the tyrannical Ford pseudo-Tories is not a good idea. Being in power is not about one’s self. If it is about personal gain, then corruption sets in rather quickly.

I think our best option to get out is for Saskatchewan & Alberta to become a U.S. Protectorate, like Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, US Minor Outlying Islands, Guam, American Samoa and Northern Mariana Islands. We get to have our own constitution, our own elected government and our OWN courts. We get to use the US$, get US Passports, get the protection of the US Military and U.S. Border Security. All the benefits of the U.S. without all their political crap. The U.S. would love to have access to all our resources (oil, natural gas, uranium, potash, grain). Since we border the U.S. they would prefer to have us closely allied with them as a matter of national security. The Yukon would also likely join us, creating a land bridge to Alaska. B.C. would then join in too.
