My exact reaction as well. In fact, I can tell you for a fact that the truckers stopped honking during the night, and resumed the next morning at either 7 or 8 (probably 8) am, and that was BEFORE the injunction. I can assure anyone who doubts me that I was there, so I have first-hand knowledge.
I can also tell you that horns blared for 10 minutes every half-hour, so although I will admit that could be a bit of a nuisance, I would not say that the honking was continuous.
One more fact I can tell you is that walking through the Byward market to get to and from ground zero, many shops and restaurants were open, and although you can hear a little bit of the honking, I’d hardly consider it a nuisance, and that was outside. I doubt anyone inside would have been able to hear anything.
I can’t speak for the residents south of the hill. I haven’t been there. I’ve only trekked through the Byward market, which was East of the Hill. I can tell you that the only horn that I would truly consider a nuisance when I was at the War Memorial was the sound of the guy with a train horn. Yeah… that one was quite noticeable.

My son who was rural raised with mostly conservative values,(at least on my side) one day gave up his blue collar ticketed career, went back to university where he got himself indoctrinated, ( Simon Fraser University in Vancouver), graduated with a dubious Masters in Business Admin. and promptly went to work for the enviro movement. He’s been in that gig and has moved up the corporate ladder to senior management positions and is busy “living the dream” … His words.
He helped elect Justin Trudeau in BC in 2015 and when asked by me as to why he helped elect Trudeau when we had a reasonably effective gov’t already in power his answer was ,”Well we need a change” … which having raised the boy, told me simply by his evasive answer that there was no valid reason.
I’m a bit disappointed in who my son has become and more so by his present value system.
Suffice it to say that we don’t have much to say to each other and communicate very little.
My Dad told me that a job of a father is to see that your kid shares your biases when they leave home. He ended up at 50%. I think I’m going to get 75% but too early to tell. Hard to get perfect at this job but you can try.
Same here ac, My son as well constantly bathes in koolaid. I’ve been conservative my whole life, but apparently not much has rubbed off on him. However, they say, the youth are socialist and the middle aged are liberal, and as they age, the reality checks of life start to click, turning them in to conservatives.
I hope my son will eventually awaken. Also, yes, sadly, we don’t communicate much at all.

Justin and Christia’s use of it against peaceful protestors exercising their rights under the Charter was criminal. Both Justin and Christia and all the CEO’s of the Canadian banks who folded like cheap suits under direction from Trudeau should be criminally charged, anything less is a miscarriage of justice
