1. Great little Reason TV/Rumble article on BitCoin!

   Going semi-OT, here’s another article, this time an interview on the “Time Well Spent” SubStack with the impressive Eugyppius:

2. Jobama is going to sign a executive order to look into making a US digital currency. I guess the test in Canada about freezing people’s bank accounts worked as intended.

3. Read the executive order…it’s hilarious. Portion 5 says that Bitcoin is dangerous to the planet and causes climate change and pollution. I’m not making that up.

   1. If you believe that CO2-producing energy generation causes climate change, then he’s 100% correct. Bitcoin mining takes fantastic amounts of electrical power; electrical power generation absolutely produces CO2; depending on the source it also produces pollution.

      Climate change is bogus, but strain on the electrical grid’s a real issue no matter the cause.

      If the market were allowed to operate this wouldn’t matter; electricity prices for absurd consumers (like Bitcoin miners) would rise, chip manufacturers would produce low-power Bitcoin ASICs, and we’d all be getting cheap power from a distributed grid of community sized thorium salt reactors anyway.

4. There would be no market for Bitcoin if countries didn’t manipulate their currency for short term political purposes.

5. Bitcoin is dangerous to the planet. It needs prodigious amounts of electricity to function.

   1. Stick a Bitcoin in your Tesla! Voila!
