On the “queer hikers proving the great outdoors isn’t just for cis, straight, middle class folk”:
Inevitably, “a lack of equality around access” is invoked, but as so often, particulars remain unmentioned or unobvious. Setting aside the advantages of suitable footwear and something waterproof, the nearest we get to crushing issues of unfairness are, “People think it’s for middle class, white, heteronormative families.” A claim that hangs in the air with no obvious support. And, “It always baffles me that outdoor clothing is still so gendered in stores.”

Anyone who wants to go hiking can. Put on boots and off you go, sexual perversion should not even enter the equation.
Here’s my big chance to tell woke leftists to take a hike. Take as many as you want. Bears are hungry.
Do alphabettys taste the same to bears as normal people?
Nicely put.
Funny how stereotype and generalization by one part of society is perfectly acceptable.
Apparently, they have a queer aftertaste.
Nice!
A rainbow of flavours?
“People think it’s for middle class, white, heteronormative families.”
Its almost as if they want normal people to live in the terrible world they’ve imagined for themselves.
Not thanks.
Bigotry exists almost entirely in the heads of neurotic women and minorities and the left trades on that nuttiness. It would explain the large number of fake hate crimes. The people who stage them know deep down that true racism is so rare that what they perceive as racism is only in their heads and that produces a deep frustration. They have to make it real to validate their view of themselves as victims and so others will see them as they want to be seen.
Excellent piece.
I just knew it! The bears, bunnies and birds have been raised from birth and hatching to hate queers.
More anti-hate legislation! This cannot stand !!
Good lord, talk about a self absorb person. We had what was billed as a family safe park, really took the dog there a couple of times and the only people who were using the park were male hoes who serviced married men on their lunch break. I talked to the cops about the issue but they said they were suppose to ignore what was happening. So I guess walking your three year old through the park as two grown naked men get busy is acceptable but complaining about it isn’t.
I for one go camping and hiking to get away from the weirdos. The farther they stay away from me the better. Algonquin Park isn’t big enough for all of us.
So, should the slogan be: “The great outdoors: where you can have a gay old time”?
