Freedom Convoy sympathizers whose accounts were frozen by cabinet order will have their files marked for life, the Canadian Bankers Association said yesterday. Bankers also disclosed they froze accounts of individuals who never appeared on an RCMP blacklist of 257 names.
On what authority and for what reason? Because they don’t like the members of Cabinet? Because they don’t like being dictated to? Then the cabinet is the problem, not the truckers. The banks are the problem, not the truckers. Dissent is essential for a healthy society – that’s what they have been telling us for years, those left wing liberals. Scratch a liberal, find a tyrant.
Considering the emergencies act was never ratified I hope someone sues them into oblivion.

I thought that one can join a class action if one has been injured in some way. A group of 275 individuals isn’t much of a class that a firm might want to represent. Anyone else not affected other than having one’s knickers in a twist wouldn’t have much standing I would think.

Not that it matters much: the Charter has always contained The Great Big Kill Switch™ of Section 1, which basically voids everything after it, reducing the remainder of the Charter to government-sponsored virtue-signaling window dressing.

Does anyone else wonder what ” files marked for life” actually means? Sounds ominous but is it? I’d think your income and credit rating would be far more important to the banks.
I personally am proud of my givesendgo donation to the freedom convoy. Wish I’d given more. Politicians and banks are two of the scummiest businesses in Canada. I don’t give a rat’s ass if they approve of how I choose to spend or donate my own money.

Can anyone say Credit Union. Looking at the list of members of the Canadian Bankers Association, I dont see one Credit Union listed there.
I have contacted 2 or 3 Credit Union and was assured they had to put a hold on your $$$ if they were to tell them to do so

sure we can but 1st we would have to DUMP our Canadian $$$ into USD and right off the bat you would lose the difference in the exchange…….as an example if I gave you a $1.00 Canadian it might be worth 70 cents, depending on the exchange rate..And that changes daily………

Does anyone have info on whether Credit Unions were involved with freezing accounts and marking depositors accounts for life. If they are not guilty of those violations their business could increase by a large amount. They sure would be getting my business.
I called my Credit Union here in Ontario, awhile back and got “well we have to do what the government says” so who knows?
But that answer didn’t lower my guard any.
I have checked with 2 or 3 C Unions and was assured they would HAVE to seize our accounts of little Castro told them to do so…………..we are screwed until we find something else

So let me get this straight, the suggestion is to sue the government in the government’s courts and let judges appointed by the government make the determination of whether the government is guilty.
