We know where Ford is; will be curious to see what some or all of the rest of the premiers say. Also puts the opposition parties on the spot to either do their jobs or confirm their apparent irrelevance. The CPC better use this crisis as an opportunity to put someone in charge; Right Now!
Do Trudeau and his thugs go all the way? Or is this just more stomping of feet? And if they go all the way, do they limit themselves to jailing protesters without warrant or charges? Which might bring to mind just how much over-reach happened in 1970 when daddy did the same thing? How many MPs from Quebec (including Liberals) are prepared to open up that can of worms, yet again?
If they assume the mantle of Big Brother, will they hover in all the rest of the crap that they have been doing (and would like to do) under the big police state umbrella? Will “false and misleading news” continue to be tolerated? Will SDA (and everything except the CBC/CTV/Global/G&M mafia) go dark on us?
The required debates in parliament would (or at least should) be dramatic; and I would expect some equally dramatic push-back from at least some, perhaps most, provinces. The various oversights and inquiries that this would trigger make me doubt that the government really wants to do this. And a reason that, as odious as it is, perhaps if it does happen it might be the spear that will lance the Trudeau boil.
