  1. 1) printing trillions of dollars absolutely WON’T cause inflation
    2) there is some inflation, but that’s due to supply chain issues due to COVID
    3) there is some non-supply issue inflation, but its local and small and temporary
    4) the small uptick in national inflation is a natural procession through the processed procession
    5) some inflation is good
    6) how do you like our wage and price controls? Sexy and new, huh! You kids will love it

  2. So, multiplying that by 3.5 percent to get to the true inflation rate which takes into account minor things like food and fuel, we get into the 25 percent range, which unsurprisingly appears to be the amount that these minor goods have risen over the last year.

Ain’t guvmint accounting just wunnerful ?

  3. My guess is that inflation is running at 20% per annum. That can happen when you double or triple the money supply and reduce the supply of goods. Apparently this is a surprise to government economists and no-one else.

    1. If you look at the change in the US money supply it was flat under Trump (around $3.5 trillion) until the spring of 2020 when it sky-rocketed from $3.5 to $5 trillion in just a few months. Was that Trump (or a Trump booby-trap)? Was that the Fed assuming a Biden win (ensuring a win by opening the taps of money for the rich)? The money supply is now over $6.4 trillion. It has doubled in 3 years. We are in for a whack of inflation which lags the increase in money supply. It’s just starting.

  4. Yea… bought 4 Russel potatoes yesterday at local Sobeys…I damned near dropped when I saw the Pricee: $4.95

    Unreal…farmers market here we come.

  5. My limited understanding is that if early 1990s inflation standards were applied, the inflation rate would be 13% and if the 1960s standards were used we would be close to 20%. Damned lies and statistics as they say.

  6. Thankfully, Joe Biden just allocated $5 Billion for the construction of charging stations for electric cars; but any “subsidization” of companies that produce and deliver fossil fuels, the commodities that actually keep the lights on and the house warm is demonized.

Joe is guaranteeing you can charge your electric car, while waiting for power to be restored to your home.

Anyone still wondering where homelessness comes from?
