  1. Speaking of counter-protesters, one of the guys who promoted the phoney-trucker-arson story through Twitter is, oddly enough, a Leftist who lives in the building where the arson happened. He’s deleted some social media accounts and made others ‘private’. Jonathan Kay has linked this thread as well. [Hat-tip SDMatt commenting at BCF.]

      1. Yes, in the twitter feed, he says that he is against paying rent – his accommodation should be free.
People like him, always forget that the landlord pays property taxes, pays for building maintenance, pays for the water/sewer and heat – somehow that should all be “free”.
And then people like him become landlords, and they start gouging their tenants (I know some NDP landlords who are “less than special” – they spend nothing on the building’s maintenance so that in a few years, the building is crap!)

    1. I think they were all in favor of them because otherwise the press would have labelled them bigots. That’s the thing here. If they all have the same position and being counter to that means you’re a bigot or something then does it really mean that the majority are for the policy? It’s the same concept with vaccination. I got vaccinated but I don’t support mandates at all. Lots of others were forced to get vaccinated and they feel the same I’m sure. But they always conflate being vaccinated with wanting mandates.

Tommy Douglas was in favor of eugenics so that means that anyone who supports universal healthcare does too. That’s the kind of thinking we’re up against here.

  2. Unfortunately the counter protesters sound like my vaccine obsessed sisters-you can’t reason with those people they didn’t just drink the liberal koolaide they consumed the packaging as well.

    1. Well maybe you should show her this twitter feed that everyday someone reports in on deaths and injuries from the ” not-vaccines “.
And it is a shit load that are having problems.

Incidently this Rare twitter dude also has the comedienne Heather MacDonald blacking out on stage at the Improv, after saying she was vexxed and boosted and Jesus loves her.

      1. The trouble with our Liberal friends is not that they’re ignorant; it’s just that they know so much that isn’t so.

  3. Heard this for the first time early in this Viva Frei video: “Big-Camera Media”, used to describe the legacy TV news media at the protests.

  4. I was saddened by how quickly many of my fellow Canadians gave up their rights at the start of this vaccine mandate but more saddened that they protest their fellow Canadians that fight for their own rights.

    1. 25% of the employed in Canada now work in the public sector. There were no layoffs in the public sector over the last two years, despite many public servants staying at home and not working, while continuing to receive full pay. It is very easy for virtually all of them, and everyone else in their households, to support strict lockdowns and vaccine mandates – they will never lose their jobs or the ability to feed their families.

In fact, true democracy cannot exist when a high percentage of the population gets to vote for their employer, the government.

  5. Fed, Fed, Fed. With that said, Viva should have his own polling company. Would love to see these pussies answering HIS questions.

  6. Forgot a point: Viva missed an opportunity to tell the counter protesters, one in particular, that the Truckers are affect by Trudeau’s and Biden’s vaccine and travel mandates at the borders.
We all are. Never had to have even a passport before 9-11, now look what is coming across the US Border and being distributed around to different States (and Canada probably) to turn them blue (or Liberal). Time to end this ridiculousness everywhere, Edmonton, Calgary…

  7. These weirdos must be payed protestors I have difficulty believing them. They are extremely unmotivated. Their points could be successfully debated against by a middle schooler.

  8. The counter protestors certainly struggle to defend authoritarian policy. “We’re for the groupthink, we’re for the groupthink.”

Loved the woman who said she got vaccinated because the government recommended it. She has likely not even considered how many times public health authorities have contradicted themselves, and been proven outright wrong.
