  1. It should be emphasized over and over that PIERRE Trudeau was instrumental in the charter creation which his son is now trashing.

    1. Something I’ve made a contention about is that when the charter was written pet’s goal was to pad his resume.
      He never cared one wit if any part of the charter was violated and he was only interested in having the signing ceremony photo op.
      If he was interested in preserving the rights of Canadians he would have been willing to let the process extend beyond the life of his government.

        In an interview with Jordan Peterson he explains Trudeau’s antics and mentions that PET’s signature is the only one on the charter parchment.

      Trudeau’s charter was kicked out. So the leader’s of the provinces (excluding Quebec) are actually the ones that drafted the charter we have.

      1. He’s getting pushback from several doctors who have their own set of facts. Apparently they do not look at the actual numbers in this province which clearly show that the vaccines do not stop the spread of omicron.

  5. Peckford’s explanation of the Charter should be mandatory viewing in Canadians schools and universities, particularly law schools.

    1. His explanation of the four unmet tests is crucial; he shows that the popular view that section 1 allows the gubmint to willy-nilly suspend these rights is wrong.

      1. It has to pass what is known as the “Oakes Test”, but, hate speech laws have been deemed to pass it, so…

          2. I was still in a field unit when we turned in our FNs for the C7s. What a difference. Felt like a toy, yes. But man, the scores during the annual qualifying shoot a few months later went up considerably. One memory still sticks in my mind, though. Our first time practicing the art of stabbing sandbags with bayonets with the new weapon proved the damn C7 bayonets weren’t worth crap. Snapped two blades off at the hilts that day before we called it quits and put in a UCR. Don’t know if they ever improved them.

          3. I left the forces before the adoption of the C7, but it is a lot easier on the shoulder to put a few dozen 5.56s down range than 7.62s, heck, the C1 would beat the crap outta ya after emptying a couple mags.
            That being said, if FN hadn’t have folded before US pressure, and the US accepted the original FAL in .280, I think we’d probably still be using it to this day. 7.62×51 is a bit overkill for a standard infantry rifle, but, IMHO, 5.56 is a bit underpowered.

        3. I’d take the FNC, especially the Swedish AK-5 version of it over the FAL. The modern 5.56 ammo is very effective. 7.62 is best reserved for DMRs like the M110 in US service IMHO. Oh well can dream. We’ll be lucky if they allow us to keep black powder guns at this rate. Why do you need musketeer/cowboy weapons?” they’ll say.

    For people who want to work but are forced not to.

    This is for the people.

    This is for trying to silence honest and hardworking citizens.

    Never in my life have I seen the healthy punished and the sick not treated.

    This is for the 300,000 canceled surgeries.

    This is for the people who died waiting for their surgery.

    This is for the people who died alone in the hospital without being able to hold the hands of their loved ones.

    This is for the exhausted nurses.

    This is for the doctors who are not listened to.

    This is for all the frontline workers…delivery trucks, grocery store employees, PSWS constantly working overtime, etc.

    This is for all of us.

Also RCMP, Police, local authorities in all big centers are pro-Imbecile.

    So if theIdiot is willing to escalate in the issue of Freedom Convoy, I don’t even want to imagine what he would unleash against Peckford’s legal claim. Probably destroy (name+financially) everyone even loosely associated with this cause?

  15. The problem with your Canadian situation is this. There are certain freedoms NOT bestowed by a DOCUMENT, BUT ONLY BY GOD HIMSELF on every individual. What government bestows it can easily take away.

    Get on your knees and thank God for the benevolent wisdom of the American Founders who enshrined this principle in 1791 with the ratification of the Bill of Rights and kiss the holy ground of the United States for the Second Amendment that ultimately protects the PEOPLE from the TYRANNY OF GOVERNMENT.

    My wife and I watched the entire thing. EXCELLENT and should Damned well be MANDATORY Watching for every Gr 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 HIGH School Student in the Country….Linked to our Veterans Alive and those that have passed…..and a mandatory Class on the Holocaust.

    Long overdue to be Teaching REAL HISTORY…

  18. What good is the charter of rights and freedoms if the Supreme Court interprets it any way they damn well please? It’s a sacred document when it helps the left achieve their ends, and they wipe their asses with it when it favours the right.
