The Carillon- Freedom convoy plans move to Winnipeg

While the slow crawl protest at the Emerson port of entry on Highway 75 was set to end Wednesday, truckers aren’t about to go home. Instead they will transition to the Manitoba Legislature on Friday,

“We are excited about the opportunity of joining forces with this group where we will take the same approach in Winnipeg as they are in Ottawa,” he said in the message. “The message is clear – we do not move until all mandates are lifted.”

My understanding is that they’re going to try and do this in every province. The honking will continue until freedom improves.

    Our NDP are more militant than the rest of the country’s, can’t wait to bait them into doing something stupid and illegal.

  2. The Calgary Sun report Kenney is expected to make changes to the restrictions here within days. The Alberta Federation of Labour says it will counter protest to keep restrictions in place. Gil McGowan is a parasite.

    2. Gil McGowan will bring his Soi Bois to counter-protest. Some of those protesting are dues paying members. Expect to see some decertifications coming up.

      Perhaps they’ll park there until June?

  12. FoxNews is reporting that GoFundMe has frozen the Freedom Convoy’s Page after it hit $10 million. They are undoubtedly looking for ways to say it violates their terms of service. FaceBook has pulled the page for the US Convoy too. What a world.

  15. The questions at the end from the “journalists” (aka bough-and-paid-for activists of Trudeau et al) were precious. They have such a strong agenda to destroy this freedom movement!!!

  17. I agree with the basic premise of these freedom convoys, except for the largely undecipherable “memorandum of understanding” posted on the home page of Canada-Unity.com.

    This appears to suggest a legal agreement between the freedom convoy and the government of Canada defined as the Senate and the Governor-General. Now there is zero chance of those signing the Memorandum, so perhaps this is beside the point, but the Senate and the Governor-General are not in any legal position to represent the government of Canada.

    I am not sure what the intention is, or if it’s one of those things where exasperated people just put a torrent of words onto paper (I can relate, been there, done that).

    But they need to withdraw that memorandum of understanding because (a) it makes no sense and (b) it cannot be signed in any case, and it won’t be.

    As much as we may dislike them, the government of Canada is who you see in the House of Commons on the government side of the hall, and at any given moment, whoever supports them and is employed by them. This is the legal structure that the convoy is confronting. Then there are ten provincial governments about which similar comments apply.

    So in summary, my position is to support the intentions of the convoy to end the mandates, but I cannot endorse this memorandum of understanding, it is actually a memorandum of confusion. It should be withdrawn and replaced with a more sensible document that (once again) nobody would probably sign but then at least you can say that the relevant authorities would not agree with the reasonable request.
