    the pipe ceremony and a sacred fire in Confederation Park in support of the “Freedom Convoy”.
    The Algonquin Nation did not give consent for these ceremonial practices and could cause more
    harm to who we are as First Nations/Algonquin people. First Nations and Non-Indigenous
    people should always remember protocol and that permission from us needed to proceed.
    This letter is to serve notice that the Algonquin Nation does not support or endorse these
    actions in Confederation Park. If these actions continue, we have no other choice but to
    support the Ottawa Police in their efforts and actions to stop this at once.

How much Saudi and Emirates money have you accepted?

    A diplomatic translation:

    “My men enforce the law. This is a political problem. The Prime Minister is ultimately responsible for it. With all due respect to him (*ahem*), finding a solution is his responsibility.”

    “I can say that my men do not consider peaceful protestors a public nuisance, much less enemies of democracy.

    “We can also say that we will not tolerate the use of violence to further the political goals of any group or individual, foreign or domestic, within city limits.

    “On that note, we understand that ‘counter-protestors’ will arrive downtown on Saturday to attempt to drive the Convoy out. We cannot guarantee that the ‘counter-protest’ will not be violent. We can guarantee that the Ottawa Police Service will be there to greet it.

    “No illegal activity will be tolerated. We will appreciate any assistance we receive from the public that helps us enforce the law in downtown Ottawa.

  18. To listen to Ottawa media, you’d think downtown Ottawa has been taken over by marauding bands of Visigoths. Old ladies terrified to leave their apartments for groceries & meds, a newly-wed couple afraid to leave City Hall for home (how did they get there?), on & on they go. If you only read, watch or listen to MSM, then you’d believe that’s what’s happening. The media wouldn’t manage the news, would they? Then I watch a YouTuber doing a walkabout and he shows a group of guys shovelling off the War Memorial because snow’s expected. He says they have a group guarding the monument so there’s no repeat of Saturday’s incident and asks where are the MSM to show this? And the patient who supposedly died because the paramedics couldn’t get through? Not true, per CTV of all sources. Although I do think the guy with the train horn should tune it down. Even if I were part of the convoy, I wouldn’t want to hear that all day.

    This makes our government, in effect, a communist dictatorship. The people of Ottawa are like Muscovites, they gained at the expense of most of their fellow citizens, from this state of affairs. They are not high on my list of people to show empathy.
