Mathieu Fleury is an Ottawa city councillor. He also seems to be completely against the rights and freedoms of all Canadians. It wasn’t enough that Trudeau stripped away the constitutional rights of Canadians. Monsieur Fleury felt it necessary to go beyond that and take away their money too:

It’s beyond comprehension how, during this #MapleLeafRevolution, where Canadians from sea to shining sea are screaming, peacefully and lawfully, for their freedoms to be restored, that politicians like Fleury are doing everything they can to stomp down on them harder.

According to the organizers, the funds are not frozen, that was fake news from the legacy media, ostensibly intended to stop people from donating.
Therefore, I now expect all municipalities in Canada to be suing the Federal / Provincial Government(s) for unsound lock down policies that impoverished their business tax bases so that municipal taxpayers are not left holding the bag for these policies.

North of St. Patrick Street is New Edinburgh, home of Rideau Hall, 24 Sussex, and the Chinese embassy compound. The trucks could be heard clearly at Rideau Hall. (I walk my dog in New Edinburgh often, as a means of escapism.)
Collectively those two neighborhoods sum up everything wrong with Canada. Good on the truckers for finally letting their denizens know what decent people thought of them, in a fashion even they could not possibly ignore.

I’ve read many comments here and watched/ read the MSM try to spin opinions and defend the narrative. From all the doom and gloom to Jan 6 insurrection dogma. Use the analogy the same as all commentators in pro sport throw out their own reasons why one team dominates over the other, or the close battle scenario.

If you’ve ever been on a long strike or lockout, you know how these things play out. Each side is fighting for support. Rhetoric gets more heated and patience starts to wear thin. Keeping the truckers well stocked and in good spirits should be the organizers primary task.
I’ve witnessed some pretty dark comments and discussions a couple of weeks in to a strike but this can always be defused by calmness, reason and occasionally reprimands by leadership and coworkers. Something to keep in mind because the left leaning politicians and their bought and paid for journalists will agitate to get reactions that will used against the protesters.
I hope truckers are in this for the long haul and keep their cool. They’re the good guys fighting for freedom. You can Trudeau is stressed and nervous, this is easily seen behind memorized and rehearsed bravado.
This would be an interesting precedent. As usual, the Liberal never thought it through and realized the repercussions. Tax payers would have standing in Court to do the same thing regardless of the focus. Hell, they could file using such a precedent AGAINST the government.
In short, you can’t win a law suit based on what someone might do, and take someone’s personal funds as a deposit unless you have a contractual agreement outlining the details of that deposit. I’ll go out on a limb and suggest that MF is somewhat mentally retarded.
