His Twitter feed is well worth a gander. One thing that caught my eye is how he repeatedly has responded to super-elitist, Mona Fortier, President of the Treasury Board. Here’s but one example:

Their reaction will likely be akin to, “You’re comparing a bunch of truckers to the ending of communism in Europe?!” Then respond with, “That’s precisely my point. No reasonable person disputes that these truckers are apolitical, clearly against ALL 3 major political leaders, and honourably fighting for everyone’s freedoms.     – Do not believe in individual rights or freedoms.
    – Believe everything the government and the MSM tell them, especially when backed by the “science”, such as multi genders, when actual science can identify males and females as definitely separate and exclusive.
    – Actually want the government big brother to look after every aspect of life, cradle to grave.
    – Believe that the government can do as well as they please because they were democratically voted into “power”.
    – All for the good of the “group”.

      I have an old friend from Newfoundland who is an admitted socialist. I sent him a conversation between Jordan Peterson and former NL premier, Brian Peckford, the only living architect of the Charter; he is suing the Gubmint of Canada in Federal Court and says that it will end up the SCC. It was my view that I was not engaging in politics with him; that the charter ismof critical importance to all Canadians from everywhere on the spectrum.

      His reaction was to smear Peckford for …. something.

      When I said, Surely you are against the travel ban for the uninjected (a subtle question) he did not affirm.

      It really is true: say liberty / freedom to the average Canadian and you get a blank stare behind which is an unvocalized “he’s a crackpot”.

      But, alas, it is true: when Bonnie announced vaccine passports in BC, I was the only one in my department to publicly decry the medical apartheid and the folly of going from “we’re all in this together: two weeks to flatten the curve” to “papers, please!” The one response I got was “but it is good public health policy!”

  11. Reacting to her comment about defiling symbols of hope and strength….We all know from the interview that the War Memorial incident was not people from the convoy, but agent provocateurs. Blame that one on the lefties.
    Regarding the outrage over draping the Terry Fox statue with a Canadian flag….does anybody here have the pics of the NDP and others draping the Terry Fox statue with a rainbow flag?
    Would love to share that around, as apparently that was celebrated by the MSM, whereas a Canadian flag and the word Freedom is somehow a “desecration.”

    1. This is a country where no one is criticized for toppling an historic statue of Queen Victoria and beheading in. Really, complaints about disrespecting Ottawa statues of Fox and the tomb have no credibility. Those criticizing are petty hypocrites.

  13. Push back hard against the Trudeau narrative that the protesters are somehow disrespectful to the war memorial or to Terry Fox.
    That is the line they liars in the media are feeding the gullible.

    Everyone should watch the organiser’s press conference.
    It seems that CBC parks their vehicles exactly where the protester’s truck was parked yesterday that caused such a fake news fuss.

    Shouldn’t some of these journalists honor the memory of the war dead by questioning government narratives instead of mindlessly parroting Trudeau’s propaganda?
    You know, the memory of the war dead who fought against fascist authoritarian governments?

    These media losers go to the Nov 11 Remembrance Day ceremonies and prance around showing their virtue for one day a year and then go home and make up lies about normal Canadians for the other 364 days of the year.
    But because they are Trudeau paid journalists they too dumb and oblivious to understand their own actions.

      1. In addition to the GG showing up late, don’t forget the selfies that the PM took in front of the War Memorial. It would have taken some actual courage for the Chief of Defence Staff to speak up about that. As an active duty Canadian Armed Forces member, that deployed to Afghanistan and the Middle East I can confidently say that these truckers and their supporters have done more to protect rights and freedoms of Canadians in a weekend than the CAF has in the last 50 years.

  15. Trudeau doesn’t have the brains or the character to know how serious the situation is or do anything constructive to resolve it. He is a pathetic excuse for a human being. He was given his position on a silver platter, and has NEVER been seriously challenged over anything, starting with Toronto-born, Bohemian Grove attendee Stephen Harper, who threw the election to him in the first place.

    The illusion that there are meaningful ideological distinctions among the parties is laughable. There is only one political class, and they are all controlled by private equity and the banks. The banks and private equity own all the corporate news organizations in the country, and have weaponized media to protect the political class. When faced with their first serious challenge by “non-entities” outside this class, the rulers are stunned, and have no skills or even instincts to solve the problem facing them. The entire fraudulent system has been exposed.

      1. I think you and I have a similar understanding on this. I had a longer post originally, but cut it short for brevity’s sake.

        The big deal about this situation, which you’ve eloquently commented on, is the ultimate economic impact.

        Worst case scenario, it ends in food riots and total economic dislocation. Far worse than any recession.

        This situation is much bigger than Covid. My opinion is that Covid served many purposes:

        1) as distraction away from the massive banking problems, ($1T+ in overnight repo guaranteed by the Fed)
        2) the unparalleled financial redistribution from small business to the plutocrats, (Wall Street increasing their fortunes while main street shrinks)
        3) the governments everywhere circulating trillions of borrowed “money” into black holes of their political supporters and financiers
        4) increasing overall government control to precede digital currencies and social credit systems

        To sum up…the problems here are massive and systemic. The interesting thing in this situation, as I’ve said, is that it’s obvious the predatory elites we call our rulers are so obviously completely clueless. Total ciphers.

  19. Freedom of Speech does, indeed, include Freedom of “Hate” Speech. It, also, includes to Freedom to insult, chastise, criticize, ignore, degrade, debase, and expose hypocrisy. It does not possess a gray area as Mona Fortier would have you believe. In addition, Freedom of Speech does NOT differ based on the individuals involved in the discussion.

  20. Right now, Israel has the second highest number of new cases per million on the planet. Right behind the Faeroe Islands. Israel is showing 7,627 new cases per million.

    But, but….their death rate must be very low due to their high vax rate (God knows how many boosters they are at now.). Yet the data at Worldometer shows that in the entire world, Israel is number SEVEN in terms of deaths per million….after countries like Monaco, Croatia, North Macedonia, Trinidad and Togabo, Georgia and Greece.

    I can hear the guillotines being sharpened right now.

  21. The narrative being constructed by the media was to be totally expected. It is straight from their playbook. Amazingly they have had to dig deep to find anything and most of the incidents were likely caused by people who were at the rally with that intention. No one should be surprised if there is verdictive consequences from the government from this. Pray for the safety of the people fighting for us. They believe they have the power to subvert this ,and desperate dictators do desperate things. Unfortunately we don’t have a political leader who is brave enough to step up and call them out but I hope their is rumblings in the background. Which brings me to the JFK quote ” Those that make peaceful revolution impossible make violent revolution inevitable.” The thing is , you never know how that will turn out.

  22. Tax the Unvaxxed; an issue I’d forgotten about and really part of the whole package of issues surrounding our constitutional rights. Either fund healthcare freely to all Canadians or end the charade. All Canadians should be supporting this movement with calls to their elected officials, not complaints about being able to get to the grocery store. It might be our freedoms today, but it will be yours tomorrow.

  23. The protests were massive throughout the country this weekend.

    If this escalates, in any way, in Ottawa, against PEACEFUL PROTESTS, then it’s up to all of us, that we’re out this weekend, and if not, sympathetic or donated to the cause, then…..

    We need to block every major highway in/out of every major city, and block the borders.

    Civil disobedience at a level never before seen. With Normies and Ordinary Joes and Janes, and the Singhs, and the Wongs, and every ethnic group on this country sick and tired, of being treated like children.

    It’s time. Castreau is tone deaf, being propped up by a corrupt media.

    The truckers, if told to “get moving”, should. They can move at 3kmh and no laws are broken, no fines earned. Give them what they wish for!

    But if it does protect you, why is Trudeau claiming to have covid?
