Great pub, and the sign features a woman holding her head in her arms (likely alluding to Anne Boleyn). There are similarly signed pubs called The Good Woman, which would trigger the usual suspects even more.
This pub was the final stop on a favourite pub crawl, starting in Lytchett Matravers with the St Peters Finger https://www.stpetersfinger.co.uk
We then briefly stopped on the Wareham road at the Half Way Inn before proceeding to the above-mentioned final stop.
