  1. What was that about becoming a “Covid Free World” again? Seems to be literally impossible considering the fact that the virus is not exclusive to humans unless they are dumb enough to start demanding that wild animals be wiped off the face of the planet

    1. BC is shutting down the last 9 mink farms permanently for this “reason”. 3rd story I’ve seen about animals having covid. “Eat less meat” is what we are being primed for. Meanwhile in real science, covid zero is impossible due to animals vectors.

  2. It is endemic. It will be found in other species. It is still not a high fatality threat. The deer didn’t die of COVID, but with COVID. And we still aren’t collecting enough clinical data about either the virus OR, more importantly, the gene therapies used to ameliorate it. And the deaths from the jab are accelerating. I spent 6 months before I heard of anyone who had died of COVID in my contacts. After the jabs started, I heard of 3 people having adverse, debilitating reactions within a month, and I hear about more every day. So just on the basis of anecdotal data, I believe that the cure is worse than the disease. And please remember, all scientific inquiry starts as anecdotal observations and inquiry.

    2. So true. My triple vaxxed mom and step dad have been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and colitis respectively in the last month.
      I absolutely cannot point out the observations that I may make because it would completely ruin our relationship.

  4. Several zoos are vaccinating their animals and some have apparently died of Covid. The animal reservoir theory provides some clues as to why the vaccines are so ineffective. Sterilizing vaccines work well because they act against diseases that are unique to humans.

      There is factual data that the mRNA vax used for animals (near identical to that for humans), killed EVERY Animal it was ever tried on…(and likely to the Delight, IMO, of Fauci-Baric-Daszak et all..)

    2. There’s a documentary show about the San Diego Zoo on Discovery+ I was watching. I punched out at the episode where they tried animal acupuncture on an aging elephant with arthritis.

      Even if you think acupuncture works on humans (it doesn’t), elephants as pachyderms don’t have several of the meridians that the acupuncture is supposed to be operating on because their gross anatomy is different.

      I would not take what zoos are doing as indicative of any kind of sensible treatment.

      1. I guess you’ve never had acupuncture if you believe it doesn’t work. Or it didn’t work well for you. For most people and numerous maladies (especially pain-related) it does work. I know from experience.

      As for me and mine, given a disease with a 99.73,% survival rate, vs unconditionally following the mindless dictates of the same species that gave us Auschwitz, Stalingrad, Pol Pot, Verdun, Passchendaele, and enough nukes to wipe us all out 10 times over, we think we’ll take our chances with the virus. Thanks all the same though.

      Now given that Corona viruses are not something brand new nor knowing the fact that said virus is present in the animal kingdom & humans being animals and the virus being around for millennia, why would its presence in any Animal be of concern..??

  12. It’s obvious to anyone with a brain what’s going on here and what’ll be next. The left’s war on hunters couldn’t be won with legislation so this is the next best thing. They’ll be keeping their eyes peeled for a hunter dying of covid.
    It’ll start with a ban on hunting just for one season and they’ll move the goal posts from there. The beauty of this is you don’t need a deer’s consent for testing.

  13. Just an observation based on covid death risk data but…if you’re young enough and healthy enough to hunt and dress deer then your odds of getting deathly ill from covid are slim to none.

    We have already have a couple of mule deer and a moose this season and the hunters are going out for whitetail this weekend. So far, so good on the great covid deer menace of 2021.

  18. When you slaughter animals, be it from hunting or farming, you will be exposed to all sorts of microscopic critters, pests and parasites. It just comes with the territory.

    And Covid ain’t anthrax or tularemia. It is weak sauce in comparison.

  21. Wouldn’t surprise me if this gets widely spread in other game animals and fowl as well. Then into the human food supply with cattle, swine, sheep, goat, chickens, ducks, geese, etc. The die off of the unhealthy vulnerable will continue until acquired immunity in the human population renders CCP virus the same status as influenza. This will take a generation or two – 20-40 years. May as well focus on enjoying life as each new day dawns rather than get caught up in the hysteria. Now, looking forward to the popcorn…

    A US Department of Agriculture (USDA) study has determined that some free-ranging deer in Michigan, Illinois, New York, and Pennsylvania have been exposed to SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. The news was released in a USDA bulletin.

    Hosting the virus?
    The USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) undertook the study because white-tailed deer are abundant in the US and often come in close contact with people. They noted studies like this help them understand which animals could act as reservoirs or hosts for the virus as well the risks of cross-species contamination and the impacts on the species in general.

    APHIS collected 481 samples between January 2020 and March 2021 from the four states and found that antibodies were in 7% of 101 samples in Illinois, 67% of 113 samples in Michigan, 19% of 68 samples in New York, and 31% of 199 samples in Pennsylvania. They caution that these percentages should not be taken an indication of the prevalence of the virus in the herds state-wide as a whole.

    No evidence of cross-species contamination
    The study could not ascertain how the animals got the virus. The bulletin also noted that there is no evidence that animals play a significant role in the spread of COVID-19 to people and said, based on available information, the risk is low.

    Though the study did not investigate whether clinical signs of illness was prevalent in the animals that had the virus, their observations did not observe any indications that this was the case. Also, captive deer experimentally infected with SARS-CoV-2 by the USDA did not show any clinical signs of illness.

    The bulletin also noted that the deer had been exposed to, rather than infected, with the virus.

    Antibodies rather than virus detected
    “An animal is said to have been ‘exposed’ to or infected with a pathogen when antibodies to a pathogen are detected in its blood. Antibodies are the result of an immune response to infection with a pathogen, and their presence does not necessarily suggest a current infection,” according to the USDA.

    The tests used to analyze the deer serum samples in this study were only able to detect antibodies, not the virus itself. The bulletin also noted there is no evidence that people can get COVID-19 by preparing or eating meat from an animal infected with SARS-CoV-2.
