Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

What They Say About SDA
"Smalldeadanimals doesn't speak for the people of Saskatchewan" - Former Sask Premier Lorne Calvert
"I got so much traffic after your post my web host asked me to buy a larger traffic allowance." - Dr.Ross McKitrick
Holy hell, woman. When you send someone traffic, you send someone TRAFFIC.My hosting provider thought I was being DDoSed. - Sean McCormick
"The New York Times link to me yesterday [...] generated one-fifth of the traffic I normally get from a link from Small Dead Animals." - Kathy Shaidle
"You may be a nasty right winger, but you're not nasty all the time!" - Warren Kinsella
"Go back to collecting your welfare livelihood." - Michael E. Zilkowsky
It was not prediction, it was reflection. The Johns Hopkins Gender Identity Clinic, directed by the infamous Dr. John Money who coined the term, opened in 1965. Everything in Life of Brian was contemporaneous British society and politics.
Have you read Tal Bachman’s articles on Money on Mark Steyn’s site?
45 years of nonsense. They were lampooning Foucault.
Whenever I want to read a lampoon of Foucault, I read Foucault.
Franciso: LOL this is the same video I’m running in Reader Tips!
Sorry about that! Lol
No problem, I just gave them a bonus video that’s “connected”!
I wonder if the SDA’ers know how much we do care to keep them entertained?! 🙂
Gawd, they could be brilliant at times. The dead parrot is still my favorite.
When I saw And Now For Something Completely Different, which was really movie adaptations of some of their TV sketches, the audience broke into applause just when the lumberjack sketch started. We all knew what was coming, and roared with laughter, even though many of us in attendance were familiar with it.
Every time I see that, it gives me a good laugh, this time as well. Thanks, Francisco, for that.
People looking now at that overall scene tend to comment on Stan wanting to be a woman and have babies.
However there is also the ‘splitters’ sub plot where they try and remember what their group is actually called.
This is very typical Left and a function of the fact that most Lefts believe that they, and only they know what is best for everyone else and hence they, and only they, should be in charge of the revolution.
Basically:
Activist A: I hate the oppression!
Activist B: I hate the oppression too!
Activist A: We should form a group!
B: Yes! Great idea. We could fight oppression!
A: Yes. I will be in charge.
(awkward silence)
B: What?
A: In charge. This is my idea after all.
B: FASCIST!
This is why there are scores of little groups you have never heard of – none of them can get along with each other long enough to form larger ones.
Might be the rock on which one world government really fails. I guess the Peter Principle will be well in evidence by the top level too
I can picture the “ladies” with the shawls …
” Ooh aah, two weeks to flatten the curve.”
“Two weeks? More like two years. And there’s still nothing on the telly.”
“There’s a dead penguin.”
“How did it die?”
“Ooh aah it was double vaccinated.”
“And a booster.”
“And climate change.”
“Ten years to avoid the 1.5 C rise.”
“Where are we now then?”
“1.6.”
“Ooh aah, better buy an electric car then, Mildred.”
“Or stay ‘ome and watch the telly.”
“Nothing but bad news on the telly.”
“I saw some good news. The Queen is feeling better.”
“Oh yes that is good news. We don’t want that Charles on the throne.”
“No not that one anyway Mildred.”
Ha Ha!
When society starts mimicking Monty Python sketches you know the end is near. I remember being in the theater for this movie with my friends and we laughed ourselves silly over how stupid it was.
Next on the block?
Terry Gilliam’s “Brazil”.
