Sorry Francisco, I was distracted by the body builder who put his marriage to his sex doll girlfriend on hold because of the Coronavirus.
The world is insane, and I’m just along for the ride.
But yeah, good luck Germany.
Yeah,I was briefly distracted by that until I read the headline, but a question lingers: if a sex doll can catch covid-19, how can you vaccinate it/her/him/ze/zer/zim without deflation. Or is there new technology now with sex dolls I’m not aware of? I read a few years back that the Japanese (who else?) had invented a sex doll that would get bitchy and refuse to have sex, @ $25K per doll.
Someone should mention that if you burn candles, which are made from paraffin wax, you aren’t helping the planet much. Burn lamps that use whale oil instead, natural and an unlimited supply.

So you’re advocating that we should start hunting whales again? I’m sure that Greenpeace might not take too kindly to that idea.
We’ll cut hundreds of trees to make a new tree oil product to burn by some enterprising multinational…like they currently do but calling it biofuels.
On the real research front, we could make oil from pine needles which hasn’t been tried as they’re highly flammable and renewable…
Ah, but that’s just me being sensible…knock it off Jo!
Let’s watch the Deutschland News for a spike in house fires as the dim witted greens build cooking fires in their sinks.
It’s usually Hmong refugees who kill the whole family after setting up hibachis in every room to keep warm in the winter.
Yes. The faux-greens want us to all live like the Hmong … as if we were still in the Laotian Jungle
Kenji:
If the Greens want us to live like the Hmong in the Laotian jungle, they should be prepared to suffer accordingly. The Hmong were good at fighting the Pathet Lao.
Fuckety-fuck Greenpeace and everyone like them to death with a pig-iron dildo. Just saying. 🙂
Don’t forget the chili-oil grease as lubricant. I recommend that their oil should be 75% Habanero oil.
We’ll see how the dumbasses feel about their sainted Energiewende this winter when there’s no lights, no heat, and no public transit. I wish I could feel more Schadenfreude, but then, my 81y.o. mother and her family live there and will be impacted. Mind you, they all voted for the Energiewende, so there’s that….
Now the Indian hobbyists over there can find out how the characters out of all those Karl May novels really lived. I can see it now: Cook the Winnetou Way!
Wrong Karl. 😉
Just like there are people here who are aficionados of creative anachronism, Indian culture has a following in Germany. Apparently, some hobbyists ensure that their costumes are authentic, using historical sources.
Karl May was a hack writer in Germany more than 100 years ago and it was only after he started writing westerns, well before Zane Grey, that he was able to make a living from it. He wrote several books featuring the good guy cowboy Shatterhand and his faithful Indian sidekick Winnetou. (Maybe he inspired a later, similar duo.)
The catch was that he never set foot in the Old West until late in his life. His horse operas were, for the most part, based on his imagination of what that part of the world was like.
On a Mosel River bike trip some years ago, couldn’t believe my eyes when we came upon a campground of teepees. There was a documentary some years ago about a group of Cree who were invited to one of the hobbyists’ gathering. One of the Cree women commented “What’s wrong with this picture?” I think even they thought those people were nuts.
LOL. I’m sure you’re aware of the German fascination for the American West specifically the 1800’s era.
It isn’t just that. Apparently country and western music was popular there and, just like there are Elvis impersonators, some Germans took to singing themselves, dressed like some of the more famous Grand Old Opry artists.
I remember one news item about that and the commentator said that one singer was Wagnerian: Porter rather than Richard.
Well, it did fulfill many of the daydreams of the German dreaming class about how the world was supposed to work. Interesting historic sidebar. Thanks for bringing it up.
It’s a blast from the frolicking feisty 40’s that includes a recipe for potato peel pie and instructions for making an oven using broken bricks and masonry from bombed neighbourhoods. Can’t hardly wait for the Canadian “Let’s Pretend to be Homesteaders Like Our Great Grandparents” edition.

Ah, there’s nothing like life imitating an old TV reality show from about 20 years ago, is there? I remember watching that on History Television.
The Germans won’t be cold or hungry for long.
In 24 hours and with a couple hundred motor scooters, they will conquer France again.
Why am I surprised about them promoting the old fake candles under a flower pot warm a room thing? It just doesn’t work.
It’s a Jewish plot.
What???
Great video: notice that with no electricity or heat, somehow the electric doorbell still works.
I bet those crafty Jews convinced the Germans to go green. I have a kind of intuition for these things.
I kind of have a feeling you’re a troll posting crap to make SDA look bad.
Germans? Jews? I’ve been told my sense of humour is a little warped, but most people get it.
There is no sarcasm font, and there are a lot of people who want to believe that crap. In the absence of evidence to the contrary, we have to either believe that you’re one of them, or you’re someone so clueless that you show up bottomless on a first date (“Ah just knows Ah’ma gonna gets lucky, hyuk hyuk hyuk.”), or that you’re CSIS looking to entrap someone.
Regardless, you’re lot looking bright enough to last long here.
Zerohedge is full of that. I guess it’s our tax dollars at work; an excuse for government regulation of speech.
Heating with candles? As the previous commenter said, it won’t work, and it’s a fire and carbon monoxide hazard.
Having gone through the “Texas Freeze” this past February, I can assure you there are lots of things you don’t think about at first. Garage door openers that don’t work; no way to charge cell phones/other devices (although you can use your car, if you have one – lots of Europeans don’t); having to carry a lantern/flashlight everywhere you go in your house (bathrooms are fun!); plug-in alarm clocks that don’t work; no doorbell (it runs on AC); no street lights or traffic lights (fun driving!); no stores to shop at – their power is out too, so they have no lights or power for cash registers; toilets overflowing because the drain lines freeze up (cold air through the vent stacks gets them); unless you have a gas cooktop, no cooking or hot food at all – of course, you can always go out and barbecue in the cold (how’s your supply of propane/charcoal?), and let out what semi-warm air remains in your house when the doors open and close; keyless wifi doors that you suddenly have to lock/unlock manually (remember where you put the manual – hope it wasn’t a .PDF file!); if you use a desktop computer (like me) no email or electronic bill pay…… there’s just so much fun awaiting you when the power is off for long periods!
We had a power outage that lasted days during the great blizzard of Thanksgiving 2019 in Manitoba. I learned a lot of things about how I thought I was well prepared but wasn’t. No electricity, landline, cell service. I have a generator but I had not thought out how to get the extension cord inside where I needed the electricity. (I ended up running it through the stove fan vent.) I was not prepared to have my neighbours run out of gas and need a share of mine. I was not prepared for the guy coming onto my deck to steal my generator. (Fortunately my dog was prepared, ready, willing and able.) I was not prepared for the boredom. I was not prepared for how my electric heaters on the generator were insufficient even the temps only hovered around -2C. That light issue, trying to do everything while holding a flashlight. I learned a lot.
They just need a few more windmills.
maybe another solar panel too?
I’ve heard that burning solar panels doesn’t give off much heat. Have you figured out how to cut, stack, and burn them for a good return?
Rather the the government show people how to survive the effects of government policy, why not change government policy?

Cooking without electricity?
Like caveman times or like Weimar Republic times?
Holzkohlengrill.
Reines Kohlenstoffemissionen
Ja, gut!
(Ironie)
I’m going to miss civilization.
What did socialists use to light their homes before candles? Electricity.
If you eat enough food – especially fatty meat like German Long Pig – you’ll be able to stay warm in some pretty cold temperatures,
Yep. Didn’t I just compare global socialism to “The Road” by Cormac McCarthy the other day? Why yes, I did! 🙂
Video showed people getting together for warmth! Not socially distancing!
Outrageous! Are they trying to kill everyone?
Also, congratulations Germany on lowering emissions!
