The spell is broken: world recognizes absolute necessity of natural gas, hopefully not too late

It finally happened. An energy shortage crisis is bringing down the false narrative that hydrocarbons are no longer necessary, that we must stop developing them, that they are killing us. It takes a crisis, but the world is now starting to realize how much they need them. Let’s hope it’s not too late. Read on…

  1. The left excel at only one thing….denying reality.
They are driven and guided by theories … and are blind to realities.

    1. Agreed.

It’s probably going to take an unprecedented amount of deaths from cold and/or starvation (and a bunch of second-order knock-on effects) before the world figures it out. There will be lots of victim-casualties first, though. Will it be this winter?

Considering how fast the climate alarmists have re-upped their fear porn in the wake of the pandemic, mebbe not.

      1. Garth, As always, the truth is, before anything changes, on any major issue, not just energy or green idiocy, people have to die. Always, before the light turns on, (pun intended) the realities need to be hammered home. One day, decades into the distant future, after enough suffering and death, Nuclear energy will again be in vogue.

For some inexplicable reason, humanity always has to learn the hard way.

    2. Those pushing the NWO will blame capitalism and freedom for the deaths. They will double down on their efforts. Meanwhile, the sheeple will continue into the slaughterhouse kill floor.

    3. The very first thing these “green” ghouls will do is to subsidize and supply all the indigent poor and “undocumented” peoples … and BIPOC peoples with FREE nat. gas.

That will appease the biggest bloc of “greens” (outside the wealthiest “elites”). So there will be no outcry … except from the middle class and working poor. And nobody (except Trump) gives a husky damn about the middle class.

  2. Gwyn Morgan gives his take, and addresses the ad hominem attacks for disclosing uncomfortable truths about our energy system and needs.
The Green Fascists don’t care about facts, just feelings. Same strategy as the Vaxxholes.

His columns are the very few in the Times Communist, that are factual and sensible. Everything else is far left screed and dogma

    1. Reminiscent of Biden’s “Truth not facts” comment. Reality and half-measures are not acceptable to the truly Weather Woke. Here’s hoping frostbite brings them to their senses, though I’m sure they’ll see the piling up of frozen bodies as simply necessary.

  3. The facts have always shown that oil and gas are needed to maintain our current standards of living.

The only way that the green zealots and the people who follow their fears will change their minds is when they suffer for a sustained period of time. The clerisy, the oligarchs in charge of the world and media must jump on board with there being no need for the suffering to continue – just use more carbon. That will not happen just because prices rise or there are shortages of supply. Real pain and deaths must be suffered. The clarion cry must come from Hollywood or a woke politician.

  4. Sorry Terry, you ain’t changing the minds of millions who’ve been fooled.
“Climate emergency” is thrown out there daily by most, if not all, the MSM.
Too many “leaders” have hitched their horse to the Warming cult while there is also far too much government shekels out their for business to scoop up.

You could tell the sheeple that they’re in the line to the abbatoir and the’d sneer at you and deride you as a polluter.

Glad I got the transfer switch and panel installed last month. That with the wood stove and the only thing I’ll need to worry about when the SHTF is my aim.

  5. I agree with those who say a lot more suffering will be required before “the spell is broken”. One can only hope that there will be those prone to enviro-delusions who suffer a lot more than the rest of us. Unfortunately, many of them seem to be exempt from the consequences of their own stupidity and narcissism. As always, it will be poor people who suffer from the delusions of their “betters”.

    1. Yup. The poor are bellweathers and the rich are as static as concrete.
YTF is Barry Obummer living in a seaside mansion? Probably has a ginormous propane tank and backup generator to boot.

  6. Not if you listen to the lame-stream media. They were all hyped up about the “climate crisis” protests happening “around the world” by High-School, College, and University Students, so no… we shouldn’t expect the spell to be broken any time soon.

Geez… if only the lying lie-beral media paid half as much attention to the worldwide vaxport protests, I’d have more faith in their integrity… but not that much more.

  7. Woodstove and chainsaw.
Gang Green has progressed too far into the body politic, they are fatally infected.
As you might have noticed,if you have been following their “management” of The Dread Covid.
    Tar and Feathers are out.
Banishment or burning their bodies for heat, these are the only use I have for gang green.

    OK I lie.
I would dearly love to see them isolated from all the energy sources and technology they condemn and seek to prevent us from enjoying..
I would pay to see them “living the Dream” in a High Arctic ,soon to be warmed by Global Warming , location.
The circling camera drones could stand in for the buzzards, for the results would be the same.

  8. Did the lefties change their minds or even apologize after the horrors of socialism were exposed in the last century? No, they just expanded into new territory in their quest for true socialism. We’re the new Kulaks and Jews.

  9. Enbridge is installing a new pipe (pretty sure it’s line 5). It carries gas, diesel, jet fuel and heating oil.
You can see the equipment presently working near Dixon and Martin Grove near Pearson Airport. The pipe is big enough to roll a basketball through it.

  10. Interesting that the article is about Europe when the photo looks very much like it was taken in Calgary showing a Chinook arch.
