Documents on Dieppe were declassified in the 1990’s. The purpose of the raid was for Ian Fleming – the Bond author who was in British Intelligence at the time – to capture a next generation Enigma machine from the German field office in town. At this point, the death of Biden’s son is irrelevant; I believe that all she really wanted from him was for him to say a very heartfelt, “I’m sorry.” None of this, “I know just how you feel.” or equivalent. No one knows how another feels even if the circumstances are one hundred and ten per cent the same. in this case, the only similar circumstances are that each lost a son. However, Biden’s son died from non-combat related causes – an inoperable brain tumour. Her son died due to a homicide bomber allegedly using C4 from the US stockpile left behind.
He could still patch things up by just publicly standing up at the next news conference and just saying, “I am so sorry.” with no strings attached or excuses.
I do fault this so-called rapport because it is not genuine.
