Trudeau campaign rally cancelled over safety concerns from protesters angry over vaccine mandates
Dozens of protesters followed the Liberal campaign to the rally. They used expletives in chants, waved their middle fingers, and made references to the Nazis over megaphones as a line of police stood in front of them.
It was the third such incident Friday where Trudeau was confronted by angry demonstrators upset with his government’s push on vaccine passports and vaccine mandates for travellers.
Its a good start.

These protesters are going to get Trudeau his majority.

Yes, you are correct. While we might be able to celebrate throwing one a&&hole out of office his replacement will also be an a&&hole. Even if the tool is able to overcome all the vote rigging, his name matches his wisdom. There will be no changing of the course at federal level, in fact it will make things worse as people will now have a false sense of calm believing they have relieved themselves of the problem.
The only course correction that really is possible is for a western leader to grab a pair, fire all the bureaucrats, close and rebuild the universities/schools from the ground up, and separate from the leeches of the east.

Saw a video hosted by Ivison with a couple of reporters on the liberal bus. No mention of the protests. I hate to say it but the Conservative position is a no win for the media. As it stands now a Conservative win means the media bribe ends so there is a built in incentive to be proliberal. If O’toole announced that it would continue but a Billion would be cut from the CBC and media bribes, the media would fall over themselves not to be seen as anti conservative. Remember Trudeau set it up so the bribes go to ‘trusted media’, so after a election victory a conservative panel would ask each media what they did to be neutral. Some outlets the Star and the CBC would suffer draconian cuts and most media would get less than they get now but would consider some better than nothing. If the Conservatives win it will likely be a minority so better a media desperate to curry favour than openly working to bring back the bribes. I understand how hard it is to live in a province where your vote doesn’t really count. I know, living down east where the Liberals are imbedded in the culture for many, I still don’t understand how people continue to vote for them decade after decade. The media, who know nothing, are behind the push for vaccine passports and mandatory vaccination in as many areas as possible, which is probably a sign that there is big money behind this and some trickling down into the media.
If more balanced news about risks of vaccines, failures of vaccines to prevent COVID, and true counts of cases ever breaks through this fog of war and the herd realizes they have been conned, then there could be quite a breakdown of social cohesion which is probably a good thing because right now the herd are (unwittingly) playing the role of the spectators at a George Orwell 1984 newsreel and cheering every pronouncement of Big Brother.
We knew these days would come and I hope we can hold the line at 20% defiance so we don’t get surrounded and overwhelmed. It’s not very good odds but I never expected our side to have anywhere near the majority when the socialist revolution started. When it ends, that might be a different story.

The CBC version of the story mentions that the dozens of protesters outnumbered the liberal supporters.
Trudeau’s statement that “I think this is something that Canadians, all of us, need to reflect on, because it’s not who we are,” is tone deaf. He doesn’t realize the protesting is because of his government’s mishandling of the pandemic from the very beginning and it’s willingness to use tyrannical methods that is causing people to protest. He doesn’t realize this because he’s a narcissist.
