Gavin Newsom: Bought and Paid For

Public sector unions are bankrolling Gavin Newsom in his attempt to avoid being recalled. What do they want in exchange for this money?

Gov. Gavin Newsom may be fighting for his political life amid a fourth wave of COVID, a drought without modern precedent, another horrific fire season, a spiking murder rate and an increasingly credible-seeming recall.

But at least he has a lot of really rich political allies.

  1. L – Rolling electrical blackouts, no AC, even water, vote Newsom for more of the same or not.

“All told, power plants with the ability to produce almost 6,000 megawatts, or about 15 percent of the electricity on California’s grid, were reported as being offline when temperatures surged last Friday. The shortfall, which experts believe officials should have been able to avoid, forced managers of the grid to order rolling blackouts in the middle of a pandemic and as wildfires across the state were spreading.

But even if all of the missing capacity had been available, California would probably still have struggled to deliver enough electricity to homes where families were cranking up air-conditioners. That’s because the manager of the grid and state regulators were relying on power from plants that either had permanently shut down or could not have realistically achieved the targets set for them.

And what kind of power plants were those? Natural gas power plants, that’s what kind, the type (along with nuclear power plants) that are not welcome in California’s renewable Field of Dreams.

Hastings, quoted above, wins the brevity prize on this one: “Hot weather and a cloudy day should not be able to shut down the fifth-largest economy in the world.” But it has, and it will continue to do so, until California replaces Hollywood fantasy policies, and embraces pragmatic power policies that will keep the a/c running. ”

    1. Too true! “Zero by 30” or “Zero by 50” activists take note: if you get what you say you want, then you will be living life without electricity most of the time.

No, not someone else. You. Personally.

  2. And it doesn’t hurt that he is the nephew of the Hag, Nancy Pelosi.

That she is pulling the political reigns in that State, it is no wonder that the money tree drops bags of money and influence to keep the corruption flowing.

    1. L – Newsom, the nephew of Nancy Pelosi… that explains a lot. She is the perfect typecast for
one of the witches in Macbeth.

Shakespeare was as perceptive of human psychopathy as Prof. Jordan Peterson. Hence why
the blithering malevolents try to ban the study of both of them.

  3. http://oroville.lakesonline.com/Level/

Overlay 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 … what is notable is that Lake Oroville Water is DUMPED (after peak seasonal inflow) at the exact same rate … regardless of lake level. So who in their right mind DUMPS a reservoir during a drought? Would you burn grain during a famine?

The woke idgiots in power in the State of CA.

  4. The most amazing place I ever was many, years ago, and socialism has turned it into the worst place. How can people be so ignorant that they are willing to destroy that which makes their lives livable, prosperous , I just don’t know anymore. The idiots and morons are more than willing to throw away everything, to gain nothing but pain and poverty. Folks, there is something that I have been saying for decades and it is 100% accurate, EVERYONE CANNOT HAVE EVERYTHING.
