Found a poll regarding this on 660news site. 54% of canadians don’t even think you should be allowed to use pepper spray (never mind a gun) for self- defense. What a despicable country! Canadians would rather see a woman get raped, or someone get robbed or murdered than allow them to defend themselves against a criminal. This is a right that should be protected and guaranteed by a government, not taken away. The fact that kenney is once again down on his knees begging trudeau to allow Alberta to do something that is a human right is embarrassing to every Albertan.

Canada, like other woman-hating countries, sees value in victimised women.
Think of the massive branches of bureaucracy that can be created by assaulted and dead women: social workers, psychiatrists, truth and reconciliation tribunals (parts one through infinity), ministries, token cabinet members for those ministries, failed small businesses with X number of government loans and grants.

An acquaintance carries openly a huge Bowie Knife in the sheath on his belt, damned thing must be about 16 inches long including the handle. He said he had been approached by the local RCMP and when he told them it was for defence against vicious dogs, they told him to carry on and left.
If required, I will defend or fight back by any means at my disposal. If I survive, and if I’m convicted of harming or killing my attacker, at least I will be alive to go to prison. The idea that a court or jury can deliberate over months if needed, about the extent of my self defense and if it was “reasonable” is patently asinine, in light of the fact I had mere moments to make those same deliberations. Oh, and yes, I do own the required tools and equipment.
