So, what’s the plan for when this thing “goes away on it’s own” and we’re still short of the target? Because that threshold of 75% double-dose will never be met. Even in Saskatchewan where the hesitant are growing numb from the lectures, pleading and insults, we’re only crawling our way to 70% on the first shot.

    1. I heard the delta is not that deadly. Presumably, this is typical of viruses — they get weaker (though more readily transmitted) over time. The only big question is whether or not the vaccines have weakened the natural immune system of those who are vaccinated. This was among the concerns raised by some scientists regarding the experimental vaccine. I guess time will tell.

      Many jobs, you also need government certification or qualifications up to date.

      A huge gap also has occurred with disgusting health care workers who have quit.
      There already was a massive shortage in this area which has gotten much worse.

Last week we saw him mucking about face to face and sans mask with the G7 apparatchiks having a good old time, but seemingly in violation of the UK’s “fully vaccinated or not allowed in” rule.
    And no one in the state-sponsored or “private sectore but suckholing for bailout money” media points out the inconsistency?

Here in Texas we don’t seem to do the mask thing much any more, there are signs on the doors of stores saying ‘Fully Vaccinated Customers and Employees are no longer require to wear masks’ and no one is going to ask anyone if they have been shot. I quit wearing my mask in stores last January, going into grocery stores, Walmart, Home Depot and just waiting for an employee to tell me I needed a mask and no one ever spoke to me about being maskless, at that time maybe a tenth of the folks were like me and now maybe a tenth or less wear masks.

    I think the only folk down here doing masks are hard core lefty people who just want to show off and thank goodness I live in a hard core Texas Hill Country right wing county 90 miles from the commie, rat bastards in Austin.

This strategy minimizes the risk of a new COVID outbreak, just in time for Weirdeau’s election campaign.
    Remember, small businesses are just tax dodges for the RICH. They can be sacrificed for the LIEberal Good!

  26. My local MOH (Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph) gave a presentation at last week’s County Council meeting in which she stated, inter alia:

    We need to reach at least 90% vaccinated to achieve herd immunity. Really? Based on what exactly?

    Pleading for parents to vaccinate their children, and stated her confidence that children ages 4 and up will be eligible for vaccination by the fall, and potentially even younger children!! Is this woman mad? Is she related to Josef Mengele? Has she never heard of risk/benefit ratio?

    She also spent a lot of time discussing vaccine “myths”, such as vaccines accumulating in the ovaries. She stated that “if you are trying to conceive, get your vaccine, keep your baby safe”. Oh yeah, how many women have received two jabs, got pregnant and delivered a healthy baby in this region? In Ontario? In Canada? Two months to get jabbed (approx), nine months gestation. I submit no woman has yet to go through this anywhere, yet our illustrious MOH says there will be no problem.

    She should discuss this with our local expert, Dr Byram Bridle of University of Guelph. He may disagree.

    Basically, no large country in the world is at 75% dual vaccination (Israel is closest at 60%). Best of luck telling the US (currently at 46%) they need to hit 75% before they can come into Canada.

  28. I was in a bar in manitoba a coupla days ago. It was a beer and burger run.

    Buddy met us at the door. We had masks on. We had to sign in with a phone number. We were asked if we could prove we were vaccinated if the covid police showed up (they didn’t-we couldn’t) but the bar wanted the business. We sat down, removed our masks and ordered from a very pleasant masked bar tender. Oh I almost forgot – if you went to the restroom you had to adorn your mask…..what stupidity.
