    1. In other “Climate Emergency” news…..

Apparently the climate is going to fail if the entire world doesn’t get vaccinated for COVID…

“Progress on climate change could be scuppered by developing nations if they are not given equitable access to vaccines, Boris Johnson has been warned, as rich nations come under new pressure to donate more doses.”

“The secretary general of the Commonwealth, Patricia Scotland, agreed that vaccines were closely linked to climate action.”

“Greta Thunberg, the climate campaigner, has said she will boycott Cop26 unless developing countries get a fair share of vaccines…”

How DARE you not get vaccinated!

    2. clipe, well, climate is cyclical and there has been more than one ice age.

  1. Sunday marks the 77th Anniversary of D-Day.

Charles Shay was the only veteran at a ceremony in Carentan, where paratroopers landed in the early hours of D-Day, when the small French town marked the 77th anniversary of the epic World War II invasion Friday.

He is also expected to be the sole representative of the more than 150,000 allied troops who landed on Normandy’s beaches at Sunday’s anniversary day ceremony at the Normandy American Cemetery of Colleville-sur-Mer.

The 96-year-old Native American from Indian Island, Maine, now lives in the country he helped liberate from the Nazis as a 19-year-old Army medic.

    1. Nancy Ross – Both are great tunes and appropriate for this Sunday morning. Hard to believe they were recorded 31 years ago.
      Thanks.

      1. You’re Welcome!
I thought the soldiers or anyone who worked for the cause might like it too.

ANALYZING THE HIT – Since we are in the business of slowing things down, let’s stop them altogether. There is a very good picture circulating on social media that shows the exact millisecond that Scheifele’s body connects with Evans and this is what I see: Evans is still in the process of scoring the goal, Scheifele’s feet are on the ice, Scheifele’s shoulder is leaning into Evans’ chest, and Scheifele’s elbows are tucked in. The end result of the player is horrific. How Evans fell was extremely unfortunate. Had he just been jolted back and landed on his bum and immediately got up to celebrate with teammates I don’t think we are talking about this at all. It maybe isn’t even charging. In essence, Scheifele is suspended for how Evans fell.

    1. Scheifele started from in front of Montreals NET and skated unimpeded the length of the ice but… “It maybe isn’t even charging.”

  3. The girl is technically proficient, but as a young virtuoso (still developing) she plays the guitar like a mathematician… not an artist.

For example: compare and contrast …

    Technically proficient

    David Gilmour

    Feeling. Artistry

The internet and YouTube has revealed just how many talented basement players exist in this world … but true artistry and creativity is elusive … and hard earned.

Not being a downer. Or jealous … because I can’t play like she does. It’s just amazing how many talented people are out there … who will never get far from their basements.

    1. Sorry it might be technically skilled but it was offensive to the ears much like guitar renditions of the Star Spangled Banner

    2. she plays the guitar like a mathematician…

One person who can properly play the guitar like a mathematician would be astronomer Dr. Brian May. Yup, that Brian May, the chap who interrupted his studies to play with Queen.

      1. Love Brian May … and forgot about his intellect. His “thing” is bending strings wildly … up, down, long and sustained. I like many of the effects he creates … very unique player.

      1. I loathe his sophomoric politics (along with Roger Waters) … but I dearly love David Gilmour’s guitar playing. It is SO emotive and feeling. He makes the guitar sound like a human voice and imbues the sound with raw human emotion. The way he holds and stretches notes … sustaining and making his guitar “cry” is something that resonates deep in my soul.

Yeah, hell of a song to write. Lyrics that resonate in everyone’s soul as well. We all absolutely ‘get it’ …

BTW … she does Metallica pretty well too …

  4. Comrade Notley announced that if the NDP win the next provincial election, she will have the electricity grid emissions free by 2035. Meanwhile diversity isn’t working out well for Kenney. The double dipping, bought and paid for media are excited that one of his diverse cabinet ministers, is demanding that Kenney apologize for speaking out against cancel culture.

    1. During part of my personal research in renewable energy, I actually looked at what would be required to have a system that would not depend on a diesel genset for backup for a residence like a one-bedroom apartment.

Anybody who tried that would have to bankrupt themselves plus it would have excess capacity which would be idle for most of the time.

That in itself convinced me that Wretched Rachel and her ilk were completely full of you-know-what.

    1. rockyt – that is an awesome ad! Kate and the team should share that one.

  5. The Sunday Toronto Star editorial explains that Justin is doing a better job than any other nation in vaccinating the peasants. Justin is so wonderful! Meanwhile the bought and paid for media is still praising Pope Justin The First for lecturing from the Harrington Lake Vatican, that as a devote Catholic he is calling on the church to apologize.

    1. Ontario John I read your posts everyday for Updates from the Center of the Universe.
I can’t keep up on all the Promotions of Blackie The Gay Pirate. Now he is the Pope.
What next Emperor of the North?

    2. I think the Church should respond to Justin arrogantly telling them what to do by excommunicating him. There is lots they can use against him on that, including his intolerance of those who oppose abortion and his promotion of gay marriage. Justin ain’t no Catholic.

    1. The Jews were only offered a fraction of the value of Jewish property stolen or destroyed in the war—and, of course, no Germans were handed over to Israel to be brought to justice by the Jews Germany’s elite had spent CENTURIES tormenting.

It was an insult, not reparations.

    2. Every culture was shat upon by every other culture at one time or another. The spoils go to the victors, not the whiners.

  6. Peace loving muslims continue to murder and kidnap across Africa. No outrage from the media. I wonder when children’s shoes will be placed outside Canadian mosques in protest?

  7. Its a good thing protest groups in diverse Toronto are exempt from China virus restrictions. Hundreds of mostly young white leftists demonstrated at Ryerson University, demanding the removal of the statue of Ryerson. There also was a demonstration at St. Michael’s Cathedral.

    1. How soon the white deplorable forget the “kings” pre-magna carta.
