We’ve been hearing a lot about various provincial governments vaccination targets. 70-80% comes to mind. With all the chest thumping, threats and propaganda aimed at cajoling everyone to “get the jab” I started wondering what percentage of the population in other countries are vaccinated? 

Number one is Israel, 56% fully vaccinated and 60% partially. It goes down from there. Do our officials really think Canada is going to do better than all these other countries?

BTW- You may be as shocked as I was to find that the New York Times has a really good user friendly page that slices and dices the numbers in really handy ways.  I particularly like the charts about half way down.  Nice job Times.

  1. An interesting country to watch is Chile. They are in the midst of climbing virus numbers and fatalities despite being one of the top countries in terms of Jabs. When you drill down you will find that they were depending heavily on the CCP vaccine. Boy, did we ever dodge a bullet when the Shiny Pony’s dealings with the CCP fell apart (at their insistence).

      He was all in with the chicoms and would have enthusiastically subjected Canadians to their vaccine. He hasn’t delivered in any area.

    2. Same thing happened in the Seychelles, one of the most vaccinated countries on the planet, currently experiencing an outbreak that they are having trouble managing. They got the CCP jabs no one else wanted.

    And this is how our government wants us to be.

    In order to achieve this, our politicians will have to change the bullshit immensely.
    No doubt the testing will be phased out rather quickly as our governments want Covid to go away.
    No more reporting on adverse reactions or anyone catching this as our herd immunity will have saved us in Canada.

      Because it is. There are 16 vaccines used around the world based on, roughly speaking, five different technologies. Have all of them colluded across all the governments? Was Trump on it too? Are Jews planning to wipe themselves out? Nonsense.

  7. Canada is doing pretty good when it comes to the jab after a slow start. Just hit 50% for single doses. We wre giving out 4x as many doses per day per capita as the US.

    It wont be long now to fully realize the effects.

    2. Canada’s daily case rates peaked in early January 2021. It’s daily death rates peaked in May 2020, with a similar secondary peak in late January 2021.

      For those > 60 years old in Israel, death rates for the vaccinated were 1500% higher (for all causes) than the unvaccinated for two weeks following the jab. It’s very possible, that if booster shots are required to maintain artificial immunity, then the reward over risk for vaccination is negative for all age groups. It is certainly the case for children and younger adults because long term effects are unknown.

      1. Sort of, around 45%* of US population is “fully vaccinated” … but majority of those who wanted the shot got it. In Canada less than 5% are “fully vaccinated”. They did it right with second dose* administered at the prescribed time. We did it wrong because we are turd world shithole ruled by inept millennial junta.

        *It is difficult to exactly calculate the number of “fully vaccinated” in US as one of the vaccinations available in US, (the J&J) requires only one dose.

          1. Also no other country in the world decided that it is ok to mix Vaccines. In Bananada those who got a shot of Astra Zeneca (which was great when they did although it is no longer safe to get one) should be getting their second shot from Moderna or Phizer. The fact that AZ is Viral Vector type while the other two are RNA does not seem to bother our betters… I am sure Allan the resident Librano fellator has a great answer to this too, or maybe he can call UnMe on the help line?

    1. Sold a bicycle to a neurotic double masker woman in her late 60’s, early 70’s. Partner delivered the bike to her home by driving behind her to the next town over. She refused to give us her address. A couple of hours after the bike was delivered, she phoned complaining that mechanic didn’t have mask on and we weren’t social distancing. Good grief!

  9. Our various provincial governments are very much enjoying their power so I fully expect they will keep moving the goal posts so we get to stay locked down for two or three more years. Plus they will need to really punish anyone who has questioned them.

  10. Depends if they are saying 70 per cent of adults or 70 per cent of the entire population. 70 per cent of the entire population is unrealistic. However, 70 per cent of adults seems very realistic. That’s the goal in the Saskatchewan plan for full reopening. SK is already at 63 per cent. But the SK plan seems better than the other provinces’, both in terms of setting realistic vaccine goals and moving forward relatively quickly with reopening. And it’s way better than Trudeau’s “one dose summer,” whatever the hell that means.

  11. The demand for such a high percentage of the population to get the vaccination is rubbish. First of all, there are probably 5 to 10 times as many infections in the country as the “official” numbers indicate. (That has been shown in many jurisdictions around the world including in Germany and California among others). The official number of cases in Canada is 1,357,933. Meaning anywhere from 7 to 13 million in Canada already have acquired natural immunity. So a quarter of the population of the country needs no vaccination.

    And the virus does not have to be completely squashed to have it peter out. As the percentage of “infectees” falls as more people gain immunity through natural means or by vaccination. the virus will find no new hosts.

    The “official” medical community needs to be hauled over the coals.

Does our President* cheer this fact and encourage everyone and everything to get back to NORMAL life? Come on ma’aan … we’re all gonna dieeeee! if you don’t get vaccinated.         At first I wasn’t even sure it was Covid, and it coincided with a warm spike in April, so at first I thought it was maybe allergies. But I thought the symptoms were right for Covid…tightness in my upper chest and a dry cough, which lasted for three weeks.
        I toyed with getting tested, but I didn’t want the BC Health Authority crawling up my ass and also what were they going to do for me? Nothing but send me home with an edict to self-isolate and call them if the symptoms worsen. Plus I’d heard stories about people having cops show up at their house to make sure they were staying home. No thanks…I’m a adult and expect to be treated as one. No data for you.

        I’d MAYBE consider getting an antibody test done to establish that I’ve had it IF it would give me an “equivalent to vaccinated” status, but I don’t think that’s going to happen. No I’m not taking any of the shots either.

      2. I think that is more like 80% never showed symptoms, and only 14 people out of 3000+ died — That’s less than 1%. Lots of people have natural immunity. Diamond Princess was the ship.

  13. Israeli figures would be much higher were it not for the ultra-Orthodox (the Haredim) and the Arabs.

    The Arabs think the jab is a Jewish plot to kill Arabs.

    (No such luck.)

    The Haredim recognize the jab as a test of loyalty to a secular government. God will protect them from Wuhan flu, so who needs the vaccine?

    (Especially when it’s distilled water, for one thing, and they don’t need a jab to keep their jobs at secular corporations who refuse to employ Haredim, for another?)

  15. Canada sits at 4.2% fully vaccinated, locked down by apparatchiks on conditions we fully vaccinate, which they badly fail to achieve.
    Meanwhile, we our NHL teams play in empty stadiums, while the US games vary from some to full attendance.
    BTW, got my first Pfizer vaccination yesterday. I usually tolerate them fine with no side effects, but sore arm this time, now passing.
    I had my vaccination passport dutifully filled out and look forward to a large loosening of the BC experimental laws. Not really.
    The nurse told me even a single dose provides 80% immunity and helps prevents hospitalization. So we can open up now, right?

    Wrong. Not holding my breath. Summer lacrosse games are already cancelled. Luckily for Americans, the totalitarians have secured their power, so they ration out freedom. People died for their liberty as we hand ours off over a virus that kills very few.

    Government has become the virus mutating the deadly disease of statist overreach that is now our clear and present danger.

We could “fully vaccinate” quicker and more effectively if we didn’t vaccinate those who have achieved immunity through having been infected and by giving out second doses sooner to the elder and compromised rather than vaccinating children who are low risk and could more safely delay or not bother.

      1. That’s why you normally consider 50% vaccination as herd immunity level, but not in covid collectivist neo normal times.

        Vulnerables, mostly seniors, especially those in long term care homes, and all their care workers should have been done immediately, both vaccines. I bet it wasn’t and still isn’t. The staff gave it to the ultimate covid dead in the first place.

        A subset of the disobedient ones mostly responsible for lockdowns and masks, as BC awaits its pardon hearing Tuesday.

        Why do voters tolerate being lied to, politicians now defaulting to Hillary’s what does it matter now (that I’ve gotten away with it), sure they have us in their bag. Do they? I see signs they don’t, but we seem grateful for any pittance of freedom.

  18. I hate those arbitrary targets. Let’s say the target is 75% and we get to 70%. Appointments for first shots aren’t being filled, and people are getting their second shot. At this point, they’re are two groups of people: those want the vaccine and have already received it, and those who do not want. So what is the purpose of a lockdown?

    It isn’t too protect the people who are vaccinated, because that’s what the vaccine is doing. It certainly isn’t too protect the people who don’t want the vaccine. They’ve made clear that they would rather risk COVID than get a vaccine. If THAT’S a problem, then make vaccines mandatory and deal with the consequences. Holding 70% of the population hostage while waiting for minority to make a choice voluntarily that they have explicit refused to make us insane.

    Is it to protect the healthcare system? I don’t a spike is going to happen with a majority of the population vaccinated, but even if it does, they’re is an easy solution: remove coverage for COVID treatment for anyone without a vaccine. This lets the 30% unvaccinated make a decision with the true costs and benefits in place.

    No matter the scenario, once vaccines are available to anyone who wants one, there is no justification for any restriction, no matter the the vaccination coverage. That’s the number that matters, not some arbitrary threshold

      As for the arbitrary goals,do not worry about those Kevin,they will have changed by Tuesday.
      Goal post manipulation is the only “skill” I have seen from these “helpers” in the last 18months.

      Now has anyone else noticed the exclusion of the “Covid Survivors”..some how successfully recovering from this flu does not protect you..Apparently only the Government Goo can do this..
      So the fearful are lusting to inject their wonder potion into everyone who have already proved immune to this virus..

      1. We are living with mass hysterical insanity. When a shot that contains no attenuated virus or dead virus, it is not a vaccine. One cannot be immunized against something that has not been presented.

    2. For your info – if you go to the hospital they do NOT treat you. If you are smart you have ivermectin at home in case you feel sick. Take it immediately just like if you had the cold virus ( a Covid) you would not wait to take something, would you?
      Use your frikkin brains people! You dont trust the Govt telling you what to do about ANYTHING but you will line up for a test and line up for their “vaccine”. No wonder this country is finished. Nobody THINKS FOR THEMSELVES, bunch of sheeple – driving alone in their cars with the face diaper on tells me you are an idiot!

    3. And we still don’t know how widespread the “disease” or immunity is. Everyone who actually has had a dose (of corona) are immune; many were already immune due to having had similar viruses. But all we know is how many PCR tests were positive and how many people died with a positive PCR test.
