VANCOUVER—Governments across Canada have been withholding COVID-19 data in an exercise of “paternalistic” information-hoarding likely meant to regulate public reaction to the pandemic, says an access-to-information advocate.
Sean Holman, an access to information expert and journalism professor at Mount Royal University in Calgary, said uproar in British Columbia Friday over revelations the provincial government was only releasing a fraction of its COVID-19 data to the public is just one example of such secrecy.
They don’t want the public to understand the true size of the whoppers that they have been telling in order to maintain a tyrannical rule.

If John and Jane Q public had that specific info, 90% of people would realize they have almost zero % chance of dying, and might start to question this fraud, the loss of rights and freedoms and the raiding of the treasury.
NS has put up that data, average age of death is 80 in our province, so covid is improving mortality just a bit.

We don’t want names and street addresses, but don’t you think that it might be a tiny bit, oh I don’t know…USEFULL for people to know neighborhoods or communities where there were clusters of cases? then we could take steps to protect ourselves a little more? Oh but then we might have found out a couple of inconvenient truths. 1) That severe cases up until November 2000 at least had been almost exclusively confined to geriatrics in care facilities and there was NO JUSTIFICATION for restricting the lives of healthy people and 2) there were clusters of cases appearing in certain “ethnic” communities, so rules weren’t being applied equally to them.

In 2015 the BC Ministry of Health tried to issue an edict to health care workers in hospitals and clinics that if they didn’t take the flu shot they were required to wear a mask while at work for the entire flu season. Well the BC Nurses Union took the Ministry to arbitration to get this edict reversed and they WON. Bonnie Bullshit appeared on behalf of the Ministry but she was forced to concede that there was no science to support the notion that masks would prevent the spread of respiratory viruses. That’s a matter of public record.
The CBC (of all places…) has, in its web site, a summary of BC’s data that gives a better glimpse of the situation (https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/covid-19-british-columbia-charts-1.5510000). It is maintained by a reporter from the CBC Vancouver, and first appeared in March 2020. I believe that the guy is going over the BC CDC reports as they come out and just plugs in the data. In any case: anyone looking at the charts in the site quickly learns that 7% of “cases” (ages 70 +) are responsible for 85% of the casualties in BC. And that my age group (50-59), make up 13% of “cases” and 3% of the deaths. Ignoring the facts that the definition of “cases” and “COVID as cause of death” are themselves a bit arbitrary, I used these number to roughly calculate the percentage of my age group whose deaths were attribute to the disease caused by the Wuhan virus (note: the data used is one month old because, because the data on age groups was from April 17, 2021):
BC population, 50-59 (both sexes, est. 2020) = 720,742 (www.citypopulation.de)
13% of “cases” (April 17, 2021): 0.13 x 121359 = 15777 (2.2% of the 50-59 age group population)
3% of deaths (April 17, 2021): 0.03 x 1533 = 46 deaths (0.006% of the 50-59 age group population)
According to BC’s Coroner Services report on Motor Vehicle Incident Deaths (https://www2.gov.bc.ca/assets/gov/birth-adoption-death-marriage-and-divorce/deaths/coroners-service/statistical/mvi-incident.pdf), between 2008 and 2018, the number of deaths in this age group rovers between 41 and 65 per year (53 deaths in 2018).
So, unless my calculations are flawed, my statistical chances of perishing from the Wuhan flu are the same as perishing in a car crash.

I don’t like the Toronto Star’s politics but it has been one of the few Canadian propaganda outlets to actually do some sporadic journalism throughout the last year. Anthony Furey has been good, too. Pretty much every other propaganda outlet has gone full on COVID death cult., including guys like Lilley and Goldstein at the Sun.

I never cease to be amazed by the arrogance of those in positions of power. The idea that the information available to engineers, health care workers, technicians, business owners etc. needs to be controlled by a snowboard instructor, graphic designer and former journalist is beyond absurd.
Second, I’ve never understood the nonsense, “We don’t want people to panic.” As a member of the public, what exactly am I supposed to do in this fit of “panic”? Beyond buying up more toilette paper than needed, and we’re now way beyond that, am I supposed to go running around the neighborhood buck naked, yelling and screaming (far less appealing than it would have been in my younger days), smash down my neighbor’s door and burn their house down; deliberately drive my car at high speed into a lamp post? Since none of these activities are generally observed when people are given the information which wasn’t originally meant to let slip, I conclude that, “We don’t want people to panic” is government-speak code for, “If people have all the facts we have, we’ll look like an even bigger collection of buffoons than we already do.”

The NWHU (northwest health unit, northwest Ontario ) did exactly this about a year ago claiming that the information would lead to discrimination against minority citizens. It was within days of the director returning to her job after maternity leave.
