  8. The goalposts will keep moving until most are vaccinated twice or more. Then they’ll come after the holdouts as being responsible for why restrictions can’t be fully lifted.     NO ONE should go for a test any more. That way, you will not become a fake “case”. DO NOT get tested EVER unless you are VERY SICK! False positives on a PCR or quick test are meaningless if you are healthy!

    But you get “counted” as a case, so this justifies the dictatorship rules. Stay away from testing sites to avoid generating a reason for more lockdowns.

    What we need is more ICU and hospital beds -well overdue. That would be cheaper than paying people to not work.

    2. Way ahead of you there. Both my wife and I had symptoms: Some tightness in the upper chest and a dry cough. I briefly entertained getting tested but then I thought: Eff them…what are they going to do for me? tell me to go home and isolate and call if it gets worse? I can figure that out on my own. It’s not like they’re offering any sort of treatment. Plus a high cycle PCR isn’t going to give me any additional insights with respect to what I already suspect to be the case. So no…no tests for them and no additional statistics.

      1. Exactly. My sensible Dr. diagnosed pneumonia over the phone and I was fixed with antibiotics in 2 days! No stupid recommendation for Wuhan testing!

    3. True story from a nearby town where I live. Local man is going in for some relatively minor surgery. As is required he gets a COVID test. OMG! He’s positive. No symptoms. His wife is a teacher so the health department swoops in and tests pretty much the entire school. Half the kids come back positive. Outbreak is declared. The school is closed and much of the town and many nearby farmers are on 14 day lockdown. And NO ONE is sick. Not one single person in the town has any symptoms. False positive anyone? Manitoba uses 40-45 cycles of PCR. You can’t just not get tested.

    The well of perpetual youth has been found. I’m 72 and felt like 12 listening to that. The unctousness of that slime ball is something to behold – say a minute a year or so.

  16. Like last year, society will continue to be forced to hide from covid, afraid or not, at risk or not throughout the summer.
    Provided 75% of us get the first shot, not the second which he and his government has failed miserably to provide.
    Of course, cases will have to go “way down” (which is?), as more screening and testing, also required, drives cases up.
    I call it the incompetence summer, awaiting a groundhog day fall where yet another variant or wave takes us back into servitude.
    A great place for us to be if you’re the boy blunder. Between the sweet spot of beating covid and his failure to beat covid.
    We can all talk about it then as deaths rise again, as governments fail to protect the vulnerable or to change covid’s trajectory.

  19. FYI — there are supposed to be anti-lockdown demonstrations tomorrow in many places. There is one in Ottawa tomorrow Parliament Hill, 10 to 1. In general I have a hard time finding out about these as I don’t do Facebook, but I did find out about this one.
