She vetoed.

I’ve lost track of the current state of the bill after all the back-and-forthing.
The original bill said: “no trannies in women’s sport”;
Noem vetoed that bill;
Noem proposed some amendments to weaken the original bill;
The House voted down her amendments;
Noem vetoed the House vote;
Is that even remotely right? So what’s the current state of the law in South Dakota?
Her amendments would have excluded collegiate sports, which pretty much rendered it moot.

she tried to mitigate the fuel the Establishment would have to damn her by agreeing to cave into the NCAA and Souix Falls area multinational corporate crowd by diluting the bill. She demonstrated to her own supporters that she cannot be trusted, she will cave to the Establishment if they even push her a little bit. imagine how fast she would wilt on the National stage?
Long Term this would NOT have helped her at all.
It would not gain her long term Establishment support.
The Establishment would have used one of many different conservative causes to use to destroy her, likely abortion, Voter ID, Gun Rights, or a ginned up supposedly anti-Native American “racist” South Dakotan Noem Government that hates Native Americans and Indian Reservations when she tried to advance to the national stage.
Now the Establishment know they can muzzle and co-opt her, AND her former supporters realize it.
Wonder if anyone will ask any Canadian provincial “conservative” politicians what their stance is on any of this nonsense….

From afar, I’d guess after having been told she had the potential for a national political

Is this a recoverable or irrecoverable error to represent South Dakota’s and by implication the
principle of States Rights ? Time will tell. She’s young. In any event, America needs a group of state leaders to disrupt absolute fed. power and abuse thereby. The Constitutional formula requires that to function.
Donald J. Trump has an unusually apt skill set to take control of the narrative and out maneuver his opponents. At the highest level, only a few men operate at that level. He made a
few mistakes, listened to a few of the wrong people, but is so exceptionally skilled at being
an Alpha male. That to still refer to him as Pres. Trump seems as appropriate now as it did
when he was still in office.
It was the organization called The Tea Party, who prepared the ground for Donald J. Trumps win. If he uses his rare earth talent stack to inspire and organize the upcoming mid-term upset similar to the role the Tea Party did. That alone will make him a legend.
I suspect ALL … EVERY single ONE … of the Republican political consultants believe the Trump era is OVER. That the Republican electorate has got the populist shit out of their system.
