  1. BTW Kate … I couldn’t get a connection to your server for a couple hours of trying this morning. Is it a cold one up on the Great Canadian Plains this morning?

Lots of rain here in the SF Bay Area yesterday … my yard is saturated with standing water … from the steady rains all season …yet the local forecasters STILL insist we are in the grips of a crippling drought. The Global Warming brainwashing continues unabated … despite empirical evidence to the contrary

    1. Same problem yesterday.
When I contacted her got this reply:
      *load on server.
      same as usual.
      out of my control.*

      1. It’s great to be popular.
More eyes are opening up and coming here, hence not enough bandwidth to serve it.
She’s going to need some donations to fix that.

  2. Colorado cutting back in school discipline. Polis backed bill that will make it illegal to arrest students for most crimes including assault with a deadly weapon, unlawful sexual contact, possession and use of marijuana, and aggravated motor vehicle theft.

    Bill 21-182

“Black, brown, queer and disabled kids are disproportionately impacted by harsh discipline policies, and we have to change it,” said state Rep. Leslie Herod, a Denver Democrat and sponsor of the bill.“

    1. And this is working up to…
So I guess it means that a kid can beat the crap out of a teacher…
And should the teacher even remotely try to protect themselves,
they are the ones arrested and tossed in the can…hmmm.

    2. So we learned NOTHING from the Parkland School shooting and the coddling of Nick Cruz (because of his heespanick-sounding adoptive surname). We learned nothing from their ill-advised “PROMISE” program of non-discipline for certain students ovvvvvvv cullllller?

  3. After watching the “steam bending wood” video I scrolled down to the comments and for whatever reason a commenter posted a video of a 1999 interview with David Bowie discussing the internet and its potential impact on society.
The guy was an absolute prophet. Paxman the interviewer was his usual idiot self.

    Just throwin’ it out there.

    1. Re: the steamed wood. That appeared to be manufactured lumber. The laminations evident in the finished pics. I expect the laminating glues soften in the steamer, allowing the layers of wood to slide past one another. When dried, the glues restore bonding.

I suspect this requires special glues intended for this purpose

  4. Yeah, site was down. Never used to worry about cancel culture and big government censorship but now it’s the first thing in mind.
Seriously effed up times we’re living in.
I bit (as if I’m particular) on “hardcore waitressing.” That young lady sure knew how to deal with riff-raff.
No doubt she was heading right to the kitchen.

    1. Yeah, saw that as well and it sure made me smile. One of those…”I gotta see that again” videos.

    2. Yeah … I wondered where she was headed? I expected her to swing it off the edge of the deck … but she turned back toward the building

    1. Absolutely.
Should just put them on a bus to Roxham Road.
The Mounties will help them across the creek on the freshly dumped gravel track.
