Laurie Segall is a 35 year old woman who refers to herself as a “journalist”. She worked for a decade at CNN, founded dotdotdotmedia.com in December 2019, and now provides segments for CBS’s 60 Minutes.
Carefully listen to the questions posed by Segall when she interviewed the mother of the January 6th “Shaman”. Carefully read her support for the employees of Facebook who want to squelch the free speech of millions of Americans. Carefully observe her support for Biden’s victory. Carefully watch her demonization of anyone who dares disagree with the official Democrat narrative. And last, but not least, read how she pushed the false & discredited “Russian interference” narrative.
Segall is entitled to have any political views she wishes but any notion that she is an independent, neutral journalist “just reporting the facts” simply doesn’t pass the smell test. How is she much different than Democrat press secretary propagandist, Jen Psaki? Both clearly get paid by the same people who insist that only one narrative, one belief system is allowed in America today.
Laurie Segall undoubtedly sleeps well at night because she has built a successful career that pleases her political masters. But consistently belittling and marginalizing the views of others always leads to very bad things for those not aligned with the powerful.
That is why the media go into spasms whenever President Trump brings them out on it calling them “Fake News”.
We’ve seen decades of this with our media editing the narrative to fit their agenda.
It really worked well in the past before the internet and Trump calling them out on it.
The American people have adapted to their trickery while Canadians still get the edited version.
Making political candidates look to have a multitude of supporters by closing in the audience view as President Trump makes them pan their cameras to his massive supporters.
I think conservatives in Canada should ask themselves why after decades the CPC still has no answer to the left wing press. At least Trump was smart enough to by-pass the MSM by using Twitter. In Canada we have had a succession of conservative leaders, starting with Harper, who felt the only response could be to mute the grassroots and control the message. The idea that the left would accept that is comical to say the least.
The current CPC leader, O’Toole does a better job of throttling those from within than he does the left. He stands in front of a construction outhouse, on a windy day, and chortles about placing Trudeau in the outhouse. Seriously? Whatever message he was trying to send was lost in the poor sound.
All political parties are now top down. Gone are the days where MP’s or potential MP’s actually interacted with their constituents. Progressives are winning/have won the battle for how Canada and the USA will be directed for generations. If Western Canada is smart they will pursue an independent course asap. If Wexit activity in my area is any indicator of that happening eastern Canada doesn’t have much to fear. Once again I feel the people are ahead of the politicians as most people I know are ready for that moment.

This is partly why I believe the Conservative Party is just the Washington Generals.
No real party could be as inept, weak, incompetent and disingenuous as the Conservative Party(and various iterations) that I supported for over 50 years.
It would be like a billionaire owning a left wing newspaper.
It’s all just a game and I’m no longer playing.
No mas for this hated by the Government and Media old white guy who thinks racism is stupid, never owned a slave, or stole someone’s land and who believes men are men and women are women, and both have good and bad points.

At one time, I had subscriptions to the Globe and Mail, National Post, Toronto Sun, Toronto Star(most satisfying cancellation ever), Macleans, Time, Newsweek, National Geographic, Investors Digest and many more. Now none.
Now I flip channels like a Liberal lies. Constantly.
I used to try to give to charity til it hurt. No more.
No more volunteering. No more help. No more no more.
This government, this country, and its people, are sick and broken.
Sad yet infuriating that such a lucky populace could be so dumb and undeserving.

Haven’t watched 60 minutes for decades. The slur on Bush confirmed my decision to stop watching it years before that.
The likely have very few viewers and thus are irrelevant. They just don’t know it.
