As a follow-up to yesterday’s story, we’re now getting a glimpse into the insanity of some parents in Ontario. It truly is astounding to see how deep the propaganda has sunk into the weak brains of some parents to forcibly lock up their innocent children. If, God forbid, one of these children caused self-harm, will arrests be made of the parents AND THE PEEL COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH OFFICIALS?!? Asking for a sane friend.

    What would CAS have done two years ago if a parent had locked their elementary school-aged child in their bedroom for two weeks? I’m sure it would have been a difficult discussion for the parent, potentially leading to the child being removed from the home for abuse. But for the non-pandemic plandemic, no measure is too drastic. You wonder how deeply the cowardly teachers’ unions are involved in this as well.

  6. People need to start being held responsible for the guidelines they publish. And by “held responsible” I mean charged with something like reckless endangerment. Every person who approved or reviewed these guidelines should be charged.

  8. The people making these decisions … leftist government elites … aren’t really impacted by the SHUT DOWN, NO (in-person) SCHOOL FOR YOU! policies. These peoples kids are in expensive private schools, and/or they already live their entire lives online … disassociated from other humans. They already have ALL the electronic toys, gizmos, and gadgets which “babysit” them for hours on end.

    These elites derive a substantial amount of their POWER from Teachers UNIONS. They wouldn’t DARE cross the Teachers UNIONS, lest they lose their power. So the POOR children sit at home falling further and further behind. Meanwhile, the Teachers UNIONS have successfully shaken-down government for $Billions in “reparations” payments … to the well-connected educational elites.

    All of this taxpayer $$$ will go into the hands of UNIONS and friends of local School Boards who will receive no-bid contracts for COVID-proofing the schools. Not a dime will go into teachers pockets … the group this $$$ is intended to “save”.

    Just another means to line the pockets of the leftist governmental elites and their cronies. Just more taxpayer debt taken on for no good reason.

      They should all be cut back to the same $2k/month CERB payments that most are subsisting on.

      Also any time a government feels compelled to suspend civil liberties due to a crisis, once the crisis has passed, they should ALL be required to submit their resignations.

  13. Um, in Washington, they built a fear fence around the Capital building. AOC was apparently terrified during that ordeal. Of course, they are just bearing down more, so I guess they weren’t scared enough. That might change as things down there progress, if “progress” is the operative word.

    “Peel Region’s medical officer of health Dr. Lawrence Loh clarified on Monday an error in a policy regarding the self-isolation of asymptomatic students, saying that recommendations on Peel Region’s website state that children “do need to isolate with a parent or guardian.” The lack of clarity on a flyer that was sent home to parents, which suggested children must be isolated from the rest of their family at home, sparked anger online after it was reported on by the Toronto Sun over the weekend.”

    1. Actually…NO, they do NOT need to isolate, AT ALL.

      The ONLY people who should be isolating are those who have a higher probability of experiencing a bad outcome from infection. This does not include ANY children.

  17. Not just Ontario. We are also told to do this in Saskatchewan. They threaten consequences and action under the Public Health Act for lack of adherence.

    The instructions direct that “if your child cannot effectively self-isolate alone, a responsible adult needs to isolate with them.” The consideration seems to be solely about possible disease transmission, not the mental health and emotional well-being of the child. I can send a redacted version of the letter we received if anyone is interested.
