      1. Premier François Legault, from the Nation within our ‘nation’

Wasn’t he the one who killed Energy East?

        1. Trick question? Not really. Seemed so long ago, yet it was a 5 year affair:

          There was a multi layered involvement… 2013 to 2018

Ultimately the blame for the demise of the Energy-East project lies with the Tories under Harper, of course Justin Trudeau after 2015, and finally Trans Canada, 2018.

          Voilà, according to this:
          https://www.nationalobserver.com/2018/10/05/news/who-prime-suspect-death-energy-east

          And finally: here’s the timeline:
          https://www.ctvnews.ca/business/timeline-transcanada-s-controversial-energy-east-pipeline-1.3621145

(In 2018 Legault came to Power, said that Energy-East would not be a priority for Quebec)

    1. Sorry Watcher, but the SOC is owned lock, stock, and barrel by the libs.
They will trample the rights of individual Canadians, (we’re suckers) under the guise of the greater good. Count on it.

      1. Yes you are right Greg. There is no hope, What am I thinking. It is the Canadian way, it is in the Canadian DNA, to accept the RAPE silently.
Bound and gagged. Medical Martial Law, with no right to complain or fight back.
Lie there with your bare buttocks exposed while they rape your ass. And chant proudly “I AM CANADIAN” I AM YOUR SHEEP. BA RAM YOU. SHEEP BE TRUE

    1. L – For justice to be done. It must be seen to be done. This Charter case requires the
arguments and evidence be widespread in the public sphere. So the weight and quality of it
is too widely known for the judiciary or the Supremes to deny it standing or for prov. gov’t’s
to dismiss it out of hand.

100,000 businesses have been lost in the past year, another 100,000 or much more will be
lost in 2021. Govern support for them will likely last only until the Trudeau regime is
re-elected. He’ll try to buy as many votes with the public credit card as he can get away with.

The first two vaccines mRNA are not proven to prevent transmission, only illness in
those who receive them. The fed. gov’t. sees that as an opportunity to retain restrictions
for 2021-2. The harm in mortality, morbidity, mental health, relationship breakdowns, loss
of schooling, normal social relationships is staggering. The loss of political rights via
legislatures, Parliament, public meetings and assembly to organize politically or to protest
has devolved Canada, onto a road to totalitarianism. All normal institutions have collapsed
morally and/or functionally, into an upside down world.

It will require massive support for these Charter challenges before any prov. gov’t’s come
to their senses. The normal course of Corona viruses is too produce milder but more
infectious mutations rendering them endemic as influenza and colds. Either we assert our
Constitutional Rights or the Great Reset becomes a totalitarianism portrayed as new normal.
Funding Rebel News fight the fine helps. The same for Charter challenges but putting out the
fires of this Maoist Cultural Marxist coup will require courage and sacrifice and risk, as it did
from the pioneers that made Canada into a nation-state worth fighting to retain.

The Wuhan virus introduced both biological, economic and information warfare, sheer chaos.

      1. When will we stand up and say no more. If millions stood up this crap, including the flu would be over.

      2. What we have been seeing and what we are now seeing is what it must have been like in the early years of Nazi Germany.

    2. Watcher, thanks for the link. I am a ashamed to say that up to now I have not donated to the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms, except for the odd snail-mail check, answering one of their fundraisers. So just now I went to their home page and signed up for small regular donations. It’s easy to do, and I encourage SDSers, if they haven’t done so, to think about supporting the Justice Centre. It’s easy to do.

The vast establishment machine grinding down our freedoms is well funded. We should fight back as best we can.

  1. The Canadian media cartel — given that the seem to thing there is very few voices to counter their dominance — has slowly degenerated into rather one-sided propaganda. An obvious statement to be sure, but of late the propaganda has jumped the shark. Take this recent CTV web page article, simply regurgitating Trudeau/Biden policy moves, without giving the Republican/pro-life side any mention at all:
    https://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/liberal-government-sings-joe-biden-s-praises-for-cancelling-u-s-abortion-gag-rule-1.5286007

I will be sending in a complaint tomorrow (Monday), since the article violates standard news-balance criteria. The complaint will not amount to much, but I’ve decided to start sending them in, every time I come across drivel like this. The media cartel have such a monopoly on news, they now do not care if they flaunt stated guidelines.

    1. When it meets the narrative, there is no rebuttal. When it doesn’t, they look far and wide or just make up rebuttal comments.
Read any piece about climate change. If it is from a left-wing source calling for doom and gloom if we don’t become socialist serfs, it is presented as gospel. If it is from a source debunking the narrative you will find rebuttal comments even if they have to get it from eco-terrorists.

  2. The Nemeth report: Here’s a good opinion essay by the FP’s Terrance Corcoran, documenting how the corporate media, in aiding their anti-energy lobby allies, smears Tammy L. Nemeth. It’s a must read:
    https://financialpost.com/opinion/terence-corcoran-the-ugly-left-wing-media-smear-storm-of-albertas-anti-energy-inquiry

Two points about the corporate “home schooling” smear against Dr. Nemeth:

    — in the academic community, there has been, for a long time, widespread recognition of unemployed, retired or part-time academics. Special travel funds, to attend academic conferences, are set up to help these scholars, given that they have no university funding. Academic articles often cite scholars as being as such, with no university affiliation, where no demeaning implication is made. But the corporate media made insulting remarks about her status. There was no attempt to summarize the content of her two papers;

    — as to her specific job as a home schooler, one would surmise that she is homeschooling her children, a fairly honest job many women do. But the corporate media are ridiculing this profession here. This is an affront on so many levels: sexism and elitism to start. There are many underemployed scholars out there, actually more on the left than the right.

  3. Loading that rifle is like our our attitude towards our freedom, b y the time we are ready to fight we have already lost.

  4. Great scene in “God’s and Generals”, and a good, well-produded movie. It take the South’s point of view, and as such it has been slammed by Hollywood critics and other establishment powers.

Media mogul Ted Turner has a one-line cameo in the film, and helped finance it as an executive producer. He plays Col. Tazewell Patton, a Condereate. Turner, of course, has been a firey liberal, part of the multi-billionaire jet-set world, married for a while to Jane Fonda. Why he would fund a pro-South film is beyond me. He did, to his credit, bring in a few conservative voices to the early CNN, but after the dot-com bubble, he was squeezed out of the TIME-Warner world. This big corporate empire is the far left monster of today. Turner had long fueded with Rupert Murdock of FOX News.

  5. Blackie’s CTV reports that Adolf’s plans to plant billions of trees, will cost almost three billion dollars more than expected.

    1. At the current rate of Government spending the paper the money is printed on will be worth more than monetary value printed on the paper.

    2. They’ve added the Librano kickback into the equation now that the WE scam was undone.

    1. Very strange how the NDP’s debt as a party is important and seen as a hindrance to the Parties Goals.
Yet the NDP campaigns on “More Free Stuff” and argues that Canada’s Debt is not important nor acts as a Hinderance to all our future hopes and plans.
Nice things for the parasites, paid for by their host?
      Or just lying scumbag progressives?
I will acknowledge the redundancy, for progressives are scumbags.

What amazes me,is the complacency by which our Eastern Comrades, particularly city dwellers, accept such stupidity, hypocrisy and theft.

  6. Because every woman and homosexual in Canada wants to know, the coward in the cottage is still relaxing today at his Harrington Lake winter palace.

    1. He can’t use that new top-of-the-line gas-guzzling waterski boat we bought him for Harrington Lake right now but I’m sure he has several top-of-the-line gas-guzzling snowmobiles there to play around with.

  7. At ladt we’re cutting edge on something. No more sneers about things coming to Canada 10 years down the road.

    Stalag Corona

I reported last Tuesday on the COVID jail that has been set up in Schleswig-Holstein in Germany, where quarantine-breakers may be forcibly detained until they no longer pose a threat of infection to society at large.
Below is a second report on the facility, this one from the weekly news magazine Stern. Many thanks to Hellequin GB for the translation, and to Vlad Tepes and RAIR Foundation for the subtitling:

  8. Fascist China has now killed twenty thousand Canadians with its bio-weapon virus. When do the war crime trials begin?

  9. CNA Nursing Home Whistleblower: Seniors Are DYING LIKE FLIES After COVID Injections!

James reports that in 2020 very few residents in the nursing home where he works got sick with COVID, and none of them died during the entire year of 2020.
However, shortly after administering the Pfizer experimental mRNA injections, 14 died within two weeks, and he reports that many others are near death.

      1. Our politicians hate us and are corrupted globalist totalitarians or are just plain lazy.
There is not a SINGLE ONE with the moral courage to stand up and say to their health ministers and Chief Medical Officers “What is the TRUTH about Ivermectin and HCQ zinc Z-Pak? What is the connection to Vitamin D, C and Zinc?? How is it our citizens know more about this than you??”

  10. Today is the 50th anniversary of the launch of Apollo 14 (Command/Service Module Kitty Hawk and Lunar Module Antares) with the crew being Alan Shepard, Stu Roosa, and Ed Mitchell.

    1. Thanks for that tidbit.
Back in 1984 I managed to meet James Irwin of Apollo 15 and talk with him at a convo in Toronto for ultralight aircraft.
      Quite the interesting fellow.
I still can’t get over how few people there were who wanted to see him.
I assume it was do to the talking heads claiming the Shuttle launches were making space travel mundane.
That is one memory I will treasure, who gets to meet with one of only 12 to walk the Moon.
Talk about men with The Right Stuff.
      Sublime and surreal.

      1. You’re welcome.

It didn’t take long after Apollo 11 for people to become bored with going to the moon. The only reason Apollo 13 got any interest at all was the on-board mishap. After that, it seemed that nobody cared, even though the CBC carried live TV from the moon.

More than 20 years ago, I was at a meeting of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics in Reno. I attended the wind-up speech and the speaker was introduced by Bob Crippen, who, with John Young, flew the first space shuttle mission. I didn’t get to meet him, though, but it was nice to see him from across the auditorium.

        1. If I had to have a hero, astronauts/cosmonauts ,would definitely be at the top of my list.

          1. They were to me, at least the ones in the early days. They were the reason I studied engineering.

  11. Watcher, I’m more depressed and suicidal than I was at the end of last year having read that article. Thx Muchly!

P.S. It didn’t take me fully unaware!

Maybe my favorite post ever. Jim Cramer, former hedge fund guy & CNBC show host gives an interview in 2006 that is the playbook for illegal disgusting ways to make his bottom line look good every month. Given the multi billionaire hedge fund stars out there, it’s reasonable to assume these tactics are still in regular use. Sociopath Cramer doesn’t care about the law. Says that the regulators don’t understand trading. I’m sure that’s true. It’s worth 10 minutes of your time to see how every person in stocks is a MARK for these banana spiders.

  13. • Kudos to David Menzies and Toronto citizens… check this one out… the police actually left the store as protesters storm the store with the
by-law in hand. They knew their rights.

    • Rob Ford is making money from the pandemic, shame on him.

      1. Yeah, I saw that. It’s so stupid, the punishment doesn’t fit the crime. They locked him in their paddy wagon cage for two whole hours, the sons-of-guns.

Notice the difference between Toronto Cops being bullies versus the Alberta RCMP who are gentlemen?

(Yes, Albertan men are gentlemen, I have noticed. Must be the fresh mountain air!)

  14. Inuit living on the taxpayer’s tit, are trying to stop a mine expansion on Baffin Island according to the Canadian Press agency. Meanwhile the whiny indian TV network today is praising how wonderful muslims are in the Arctic.

    1. I remember while he was PM, some cartoonist (Aislin, maybe?) who portrayed Joe Who as a kid who couldn’t find his mittens, and so needed to have them on a string running inside his jacket.

    1. Heheheheheheh- those videos are terrific except for the poor protesters who were hurt. Thanks, Patrick.

    1. Charter? Is that thing still in effect? Wasn’t there a provision in it that stated it could be suspended for an “emergency”?
