    1. Conservatism (in my opinion) is the realization that you are the primary determiner of your future. That taking responsibility for your own actions (and being left alone to enjoy the proceeds or learn from the disappointments) is the best way to have a responsible voting populous who select the rules (under constitutional limitations) on how our society should work.

      Quoting yourself on how we’re better off feeding some folks into the wood chipper doesn’t make you smarter. It means that you’re willing to kill some off before they can learn better. Sappy liberals in their youths will often become conservative with more experience with life. Machine-gunning them while they’re still young and stupid helps no one.

      If you have a troubled dog, call the Dog Whisperer. If you have a rabid dog, shoot it.

        1. You asked where is the downside. Your response looks to me like the “all dogs are rabid, so shoot ’em all” response. I don’t think that’s what you think or meant, but that’s the caricature of us that they have.

          Those who are aware of what they’re doing, I have no disagreement with you. Those who haven’t grown up yet can’t learn if the first penalty they face for youthful stupidity is death. There’s a reason we don’t spank a baby with an ax.

  8. You see, it’s black people afraid of the police so they need to send black social workers to help….Black people. Instead of black cops.

    Or maybe white SJW that can really really help and can talk….just talk and help and maybe offer a granola bar and you know…help.

    Ahhh what do I know. I’m white. And 5or so beers in. Usually guys like me can solve the world problems but I got nothing when the problem is defund police and send social workers to mental health/domestic incidents

    I have dealt with mental health issues in my immediate family…A son who tried to take his life, my mother in law and friend who did. Mental health issues are real. The police who attended all three incidents were professional, caring and took control of some very chaotic situations. Some social worker trying to fix the situation might have made it worse IMHO.

They have this George Soros funded, filthy commie district attorney Larry Krasner who repeats all the silly platitudes about Black Lives Matter and defunding the police. The body bags have been piling up all year long, but really ramped up after all the Black Lives Matter mayhem after Saint Floyd’s untimely death.

    Too many cop interactions with the mentally unwell end with brutality and death. Time for something new.

    1. The PROBLEM, is that the friends and family of the mentally ill cannot control/deal with an often violent person suffering from delusions/paranoia to begin with. Since the Left demanded the end of involuntary commitments to mental hospitals, the mentally ill have been largely left to their own devices, with PREDICTABLE results. As is so often the case, when looking for someone to blame, leftists never look at THEIR OWN POLICIES as a cause of these tragedies.

    2. Well, you just got “something new” here – a butchered poverty pimp sent in to kumbaya with a “mentally unwell” person. You should be celebrating the “innovation” and avoidance of those trained to handle potentially violent individuals but whose ranks include a few bad actors.

      Oh dear, did Kate forget to consult with you on which news sources were legitimate? I’m sure she’ll check with you next time.

    3. It absolutely proves nothing. Let’s continue the experiment until we have a statistically representative sample. Full speed ahead, keep sending S(J)Ws to confront knife wielding maniacs. It is a self cleaning oven. Think globally, act locally. We can get rid of them, one UnMe at a time. Remember, every time an UnMe is made good, dhimicrats lose about three votes.
