  1. Here’s a neat question for the sock monkey government that spares no effort to remind Canadians how caring and compassionate they are and by extension how heartless and mean conservatives are.

    Why are they transitioning the CERB but yet keeping in place emergency measures?

    Isn’t that kind of heartless?

    It’s just a mere formality now – oh sure, there are small pockets of resistance here and there but that’ll be taken care of soon enough.
    Right now everything hinges on the U.S. election – should Trump lose it’ll be all over but the crying. A fait accompli.
    I mention the United States only because Canada is pretty much pooched, we allowed a Globalist poster child and his minions to purposely run this country into the ground. He busies himself now by making sure his friends are well looked after before the well runs dry, not unlike corporation CEO’s who sell off their stock because they know what’s coming down the pipe.
    When I saw him wear a T shirt that read Global Citizen I remember thinking…”Geez, he’s right in your face about it”.

        I was an early Trump supporter but never bought the idea of MAGA, great marketing line that it was.

        If the left wouldn’t allow him to govern first term, and with three failed coup attemps, after a second loss the angry hate-filled hysteria will be off the charts.

        The rise and fall of nations is a natural organic cycle. It CANNOT be reversed.

    1. Since recorded history started, Government was always the Big Guy, HMFWIC, or King; and his (sometimes) Loyal Guardsmen. They would rule and do what they want, take what they want. Some were stupid and short sighted, but those didn’t always end up dead enough, fast enough. So their city or kingdom suffered and died. Some were smart, and took only a little until you became big enough and a potential threat, then they coopted or destroyed you. Those were the “Enlightened Rulers.” They still ruled, but their subjects mostly survived. Some subjects even prospered.

      Then, for a brief 300 to 400 years, we had an anomaly first called Great Britain, then Western Civilization, finally Representative Government.

      We are merely reverting back to the mean. So many of our intended masters are in for a rude shock when the new HMFWIC explains the new rules to them.

    Good triumphs over evil in the end. If evil appears to be winning, that simply means the end is not yet.

    Why? Because the God of Israel is the One God.

    1. Not really interested in a debate and I will defer to the house rules about going off topic.
      However.
      Not to disparage what you said, firstly because you are free to do so, and secondly because I haven’t met the almighty in person so I can’t say specifically what he will and won’t allow to happen. Be that as it may, I’d like to offer this rather unsophisticated thought, if God gave us a free mind with which to decide how we use the body we were born with, does it not sound reasonable that God has established that he won’t intervene in the physical or the mental but will only be there to preserve our spirit?
      That isn’t to say those that obey his commandments are not smiled upon, or that certain nations are held out as favoured. It’s to say that just as we don’t want our lives managed by tyrants, he has no desire to be a tyrannical God so he gives us the opportunity to see how we behave in this world to see if we are worthy to be part of his.

      But that’s just me.

    Debt to GDP has surged to our highest levels in history.

    And Trudeau keeps layering it on, payIng our more tax-free money through the Canada Child benefit, along with the taxable EI and CERB benefit, in addition to the new amounts in program just announced.

    Only a sick, twisted group of people would use a pandemic to gain more power, but that is exactly who Trudeau, Friesland and this group of globalist radicals are.

    They are supported by the media, big corporations and in Canada, the CBC.

    Higher taxes, more government control to fight climate change, all under the cloak of fear created by the pandemic.

    It’s a socialist, globalist death spiral folks.

    Can we use a more generic term like:

    Those on the receiving end of tax funded largess?

    It’s like a drug addiction.
    Once on “government support” the most horrific thought is having to live without it.

    The most optimistic thought I can come up with is that they run out of other people’s money before the next election. Then they have to be the ones doing the taking away or have the creditors impose it.
    Then the paradigm shift occurs.

      Trudeau is doing this all outside of parliament, forever changing the debt that futures generations will need to pay and Canada’s economy, all without any transparency and input from voters and taxpayers.

      And socialists like Adam Vaughan are out there looking at changes to soak the taxpayer even harder.

  11. Its clear now that America has reached a tipping point. There are two Americas and civil war is inevitable. Only this time there won’t be a reconciliation, the differences are too stark and many now. Just waiting for a Fort Sumter.

  12. The Canadian system of government was doomed to failure from the start. The only thing that stopped the rampant corruption, theft, lying, and cronyism we are seeing now, was a sense of morality, religious affiliation, and ethics. All those are gone, and we are seeing of what this system of government, without any checks of balances, is capable. Regardless whether the CPC wins, it’s just a matter of time before we get another like this, but worse. Wexit?? Not the answer, if we flee with the same system, hence the discussion is moot, unless it’s 51st state, or starting from scratch. A system based upon the British Parliamentary model, will fail everywhere. The rules have to be fair, with multiple checks and balances, and division of power, like the U.S. constitution.

    1. I agree with you with one major caveat. ALL political systems fail over time, because at some point time and circumstances will have changed countries sufficiently that the original arrangements no longer work. Canada it has become apparent was insufficient to survive the dismal reigns of Trudeau I and Trudeau II. The original United States was insufficient to survive the trauma of slavery, as Alexis de Tocqueville predicted with great accuracy.

      The problem is not really the British Westminster Parliamentary model. It’s all the other things that got larded in with it after the initial creation.

      When the Spartans were at the pinnacle of their military fame they sent a delegation to the Oracle at Delphi and (with more than a little conceit) demanded: Can anything harm Sparta? The answer was short and to the point: “Yes, luxury.”

      I’d say the Oracle got it exactly right. Because the danger with luxury is that it is always attended by its handmaidens: self-interest, complacency, cowardice, and an appalling lack of curiosity about the important things. In other words, soft living begets soft heads and soft backbones.

  15. Played golf today. Had a few beer after. We sat as group, no social distancing, we wore our masks, sort of, when going to the toilet just to make sure the owner was not charged with a fine if a Nazi was present. All in all a reasonable day as a result of ignoring the lockdown fascists. Everyone has to start practicing a level of civil disobedience that will seem uncomfortable but it has to be done. Ford, Trudeau and all the so called medical professionals have to be dumped on. If you personally are terrified of the flu or the government you are dangerous to both yourself and your neighbour.

      And that is the thing. Once upon a time things would NEVER have gotten this far. But now we bleat and wring out hands and depend on “leaders” to “do something”.

      No, millions won’t die; the education system, social media, and lives of relative luxury have seen to that. Off quietly into the night we go. Like you my good sir, thank goodness I’m old.
