One thing is also clear – rioters/terrorists who manage to get arrested are released within hours to rejoin their comrades. Consider the case of Zachary Trudo, Google exec…charged with assault, resisting arrest, escape and interfering with a Peace officer. Aaaaaand he was released. Nice.

Easy solution. As a now retired military NCO I remember the urban operations training. A full company+ of mechanized infantry with armour & air support would sweep the streets, detain and free the area. If things get tough; Shoot, move & hold.
Federal criminal charges are being filed against rioters for assaulting federal officers and destruction of federal buildings. Sure they are getting released after they are charged, but there is nothing their Democrat mayors and governor can do to protect these idiots once they are actually convicted on federal charges. Also, there is no parole for federal criminal convictions. These morons will be serving 10 years for larping as revolutionaries.
One part of me says “let it burn”. It’s a leftist shit hole so who cares. No federal funds for rebuilding as per Trump’s response to Minneapolis. I would tell the socialist mayor “you broke it, you own it”.
To me the first step is using sniper spotters to find who us using the laser pointers to try to blind law enforcement. ROE should count that as shooting at the law enforcement, and allow the snipers to return fire.
Wire the scopes with video so that the proof that “they wasn’t doin’ nuffin'” can be disproved after the laser pointer mysteriously vanishes from the dead hand.
I live just outside Portland. Each night I can walk down to the end of the block and see the smoke from the fires. More than a thousand fires have been set since this began. It is amazing how people on facebook and twitter refuse to believe their own eyes with videos showing the violence.
I had to pick up a friend downtown at 6pm last week. She was afraid to exit her building which was three blocks away from the protests. None of the ride sharing companies will go downtown anymore. When I got out of my car to escort her from the lobby three guys in black bloc flashed a knife and started berating us. The security guard stepped out of the building with his gun in hand and they ran off.
More than 120 stores looted. 50+ burned. Most of the residents in the downtown area live in fear of being attacked. The Mayor and the city council have ordered the police to stand down. Antifa members have attacked and stabbed BLM members.
You can’t buy a gun as they are all sold out. Ammunition is hard to find. My neighbors have met and organized a contact list and plan for self defense. We rotate watches at the edges of our neighborhood, we are all ready to support each other.
I don’t see this stopping until people start getting killed.
Thank you for that. On the ground reports are very valuable with respect to get to getting the real story. Shocking that local politicians are allowing this to happen by telling the police to stand down. Maybe they are afraid of greater escalation.

I’ve always thought that they should have never gotten away from the proper practice of automatically shooting looters on sight but now that the civil war has apparently started in earnest, I would rather see the Feds called in only after being invited by local governments. That way, the armies of the institutional left can destroy as much of their own as possible before the Feds actually engage the confederate regimes. If Biden succeeds Trump, the Feds will look like heroes as their mobs will dissipate with some theatrics made to look like resistance as the institutional left resumes full control over the Leviathan state.
The Feds are there to prevent federal property (like the courthouse) from being destroyed, not necessarily to quell the riots.

Remember Obama 2008? In a speech in Denver he spoke of a half a million strong “Civilian National Security Force.”. Could he have meant to create Antifa and or BLM as a force to assure a democrat will get elected if the coup orchestrated by the FBI or impeachment fabricated by democrat politicians don’t produce the results Obama and Biden hoped for?
For anyone with such a thin resume that “Community Organizer” seems to be the only “job” held before being ushered through a fast-tracked political ladder, I think that would be a reasonable assumption.
I wish that I could help the folks in Portland. I really do. However, they had the same warnings the rest of us had. In my state and town, we are planning and practicing. They had the same opportunity. They chose not to plan. They chose to elect 99% democrats into their government. And then they choose to stay. So very sad.
When antifa and blm get to my area, there will be casualties amongst them with more than just bloody noses. Every farmer and rancher in these parts owns at least one trac-hoe. Shut up and shovel. Good advice for anybody in the times that are ahead.
