    Apparently, NASCAR is popular, in fact it is the most popular sport, if you can call it that, in the US.
    Don’t know why, though thinking it is most popular in the flyover country.
    Watch it disappear shortly.
    It will be replaced with some other car races.

  4. I had heard that what it was actually was a serpentine belt that runs on the front of the engine. Most of today’s drivers have never looked under the hood. RIP nascar.

  5. Nascar will most certainly NOT dissapear unless NBA, NFL,MLB dissapear too.
    Car racing is every bit a sport as any other sport. Not many blacks though for whatever reason.Same as there are not many whites in NBA and lots of central Americans in MLB.
    I am sick of this racist/white supremist bullshit.My daughter-in-law is black and I “HATE” her more each day.

    1. I’ve followed NASCAR, off and on, for a long time now. Earnhardt Sr.’s death put me down for quite a few years. Regardless, this noose thing never rang true. Not on any level. I know nothing of this Bubba individual. Given his apparent BLM bullshit and objections to the Confederate Flag, he doesn’t fit in. He’s bringing trouble to the sport that allowed him, a man of questionable character, to compete fairly and openly.
      He’s NASCAR’S Kaepernick. As mouthy if not as marginal. (Generally they go hand in hand.)
      He’ll have virtue signaling sponsers regardless of his performance and will be causing trouble for a long time.

  8. Every morning I get up, switch the TV on, pour a coffee, and watch the news unfold. Hundreds of idiotic events that have taken place during the previous 12 hours.

    Then I shut the TV off, sigh, and say it out loud. ”No noose is good noose.”

  10. Ace at AOSHQ said it last week. If the media do not show you a picture of the supposed hate speeech, alarming object or threatening note, it is a HOAX. They know that if you saw it, you would laugh at their abject idiocy, and their alarmism.

    Has anyone seen the actual offending noose yet? I looked high and low trying to find a picture. CTH doesn’t even have a picture of it.

    My personal thought was it was a rope or wire thrown over a rafter by someone to hold up a part while they worked on it or maybe painted it? Others said it might be a serpentine belt? Looks like it wasn’t even that mysterious?

I think a lot of someones at NASCAR knew this was a made up/ mistaken hoax within hours, but because they had already alerted the media, they knew that could either play along, or be forever damned as a Racist, Racisty, Racist Pig for doubting the noose story and therefore doubting the Immaculate Bubba Wallace and BLM.

      NACAR Executives Felt they had no other choice, as they are a Southern founded sport that used to celebrate their heritage of moonshine, the Confederacy, and all things Dixie. That was already 3 strikes against NASCAR, and NASCAR has zero supporters in the car-less voids of the Manhattan Media Monopoly.

      If Bubba Wallace and 43 win a race in the next few races, then you will know NASCAR is as fixed as Pro Wrestling.

      Supposedly, Bubba didn’t hear about the kerfuffle until after the idiot that found the noose went to NASCAR and the media.

  14. The fake sports news on QR770, Calgary only reported the first part of the story. The guy that talks sports has a severe case of Trump hate. Come to think of it the sports and sports reporting is the leading part of current hysteria.

    1. Totally agree on QR770 sports… the guy is a Trump hater extraordinaire and has an IQ similar to his shoe size. I have a running bet as to when the first anti-Trump statement occurs on the station… usually by 6:05 AM. It is basically not-listenable now… with perhaps an exception at 9:30.

      NASCAR simply needed “proper” positive press and had all the required pieces in place… willing participant… check, available object of disdain (noose of some kind)… check, rabid press desperate for another “hit” piece…check, bought and paid for team to show their required “solidarity” (drivers, mechanics, P.R.)… check, gullible public… check and check. Mission accomplished. NASCAR has now paid it’s debt to the BLM movement and can go on it’s merry way.

    Now, they don’t even need FAKE hate crimes … all you need is a rope in a tree. Any white person who “hangs” a rope swing for their kids, or “hangs” a hammock in a tree … is a racist … signaling their hate and insensitivity toward black folk. Right?

  17. OK, the “Noose” shown in that stall, in a photo from a prior year race meeting, was definitely a noose knot. It appears these ropes were used to pull down and raise up the stall doors. For that task with a rope, it would only need a simple loop tied as with a granny knot. The loop I see in the pictures was a definite noose knot, but without the correct number of rings in it. Whether that was a deliberate reference to the southern confederacy or simply absent minded and non intentional, I don’t know. However, knowing the Dixie roots of Nascar, I would suspect the former. Again, this may have been done to all the door pulls there, or just this particular one, again unknown. Also unknown, is that if it was deliberately done because “Bubba” was in that stall. Yet maybe it was. I would bet there are a few Nascar types that might be racist, and/or upset over the removal of the Confederate flag!

    The hanging noose knot is a deliberately tied, 12 ring slide knot, designed to create a large very stiff slip knot (Almost as stiff as a chunk of wood) The idea being that as the body drops, the stiff knot will slam into the side of the head (Correct placement of the 12 ring knot is the side of the neck, not at the rear) As the knot slams into the head, it creates a neck snapping wrench, so ending the life, Hopefully. It didn’t always work, hence the “Hang by your neck until you are dead” statement by the hanging judge, to cover a non snapped or non terminal event! The rear, easy sliding or strangulation slip knot, was used at times to inflict further punishment with a slow strangulation death, giving you a little more time to painfully anticipate the approaching darkness. Eventually slip knot hanging was considered a torture beyond what a “civilized execution” should be!

    I would posit that no execution is really civilized, but is extremely useful as a deterrent, and required, for certain crimes against humanity, however, we humans have allowed ourselves to become extremely wimpy regarding corporal punishment, or any criminal punishment these days.

    Thus ending the SDA enlightenment of a correctly tied and placed hanging noose. Believe it or not, I actually learned how to tie this knot during my adolescence as a boy scout! The education of the why’s and how’s of the knot came a little later. NO! I don’t know why I learned and retained all this hanging information crap, perhaps it’s part of the darker side of my soul. There is evil in all of us, and it’s whether we allow that evil to manipulate our self control, express itself, and destroy our moral compass. Or, “not allowing ourselves to go over to the dark side”! 🙂

    1. If you have the ability to tie anything other than an overhand knot, chances are you’re going to tie an appropriate knot for the job. The knot looks closer to a 4 or 5 wrap uni knot than a hangman’s knot. Any bass fisherman worth his salt can tie one of those. Odds are the track employs more fisherman than wannabe klansmen. A bowline would have done the job as well, or, if wanting to get fancy, a monkey fist.

    The FBI learned that garage number 4, where the noose was found, was assigned to Bubba Wallace last week. The investigation also revealed evidence, including authentic video confirmed by NASCAR, that the noose found in garage number 4 was in that garage as early as October 2019. Although the noose is now known to have been in garage number 4 in 2019, nobody could have known Mr. Wallace would be assigned to garage number 4 last week.

    The decision not to pursue federal charges is proper after reviewing all available facts and all applicable federal laws. We offer our thanks to NASCAR, Mr. Wallace, and everyone who cooperated with this investigation.”
