  1. Did you notice Quick D operating his stone picker in the dark? His eyesight is better than Superman.

    1. Farmers have lights on their tractors so they can work once the sun goes down. I’m sure Quick Dick’s machinery looks like a 747 landing when he turns on all the lights.

  2. That’s some game. He’s kidding eh?

Saw a tractor stuck in the field here once near Spruce Meadows. It was dug in the ground and the operator had abandoned it to get help. The hole was so deep that they could’ve dug a well there!

    Too bad about Pooch.

  3. QDM had a beer with Kaci at sunset.

Yeah. I do that. My loyal golden is always at my side. Cheers to Kaci and all our canine companions.

QDM links never get old. Tell him I got a beer ( or 5) in the fridge for him if he wants.

And thanks Kate. You do the hard work. I get more info here that Few want to post.

I am at my parents cabin. Alone with a fire. (And a wet dog from swimming) Have not had opportunity to sit and breathe for a while now. My reader tip is for SDA nation to remember. No matter what Justin says …… Or the riots down south….. your job…… virus uncertainty…..

Take a moment to sit and reflect and recharge.

We are not all in this together. You are responsible for you. I am going to be more focused Monday. (Hungover Sunday)

    Again. Thanks Kate

    1. Jeff, thank you for your fantastic post. It has uplifted me from my gloom, gloom, gloom this morning — with an ongoing drought in my turnip-patch province and with the U.S. riots going on (and with the corporate media cheering the riots on). I will be going to my riverside cabin on Monday, and I will keep your post in mind. Thank you for it.

    2. Labs are great dogs to have around with loads of personality and usually very trainable clever.
The only downside is their short lifespan.

  4. Earlier this evening I watched the documentary I referred to at:

    http://www.smalldeadanimals.com/index.php/2020/05/30/may-30-2020-reader-tips/#comment-1322240

I have a personal connection to the subject as I sometimes heard Radio Canada International (RCI) or, CBC International Service (as it used to be known), when I was an active shortwave listener.

It was a way of Canadians overseas to hear what was happening in the country and it helped advertise us. RCI was, at one time, one of the most highly-regarded stations, along with the BBC World Service and Radio Netherlands. It produced a lot of original programming, though it carried a number of domestic shows such as The World At Six and As It Happens.

Unfortunately, successive federal governments refused to take it seriously and cut its funding for years. Increasingly, it relayed domestic CBC programming as the budget for original material shrank. Some 20 years ago, a lot of stations closed down their shortwave operations, the BBC World Service being one of them. Switching over to Internet streaming was considered to be more effective in reaching their target audiences, as well as being a lot cheaper.

RCI managed to continue for a while longer because it farmed out its Sackville transmitter site to foreign broadcasters, such as China Radio International, as a North American relay. Eventually that came to an end and RCI left the air for good. Soon after that, the Sackville towers came down.

In the documentary, the point was made that shortwave can not only reach a larger audience, it can’t be controlled like the Internet can. Closing down RCI and demolishing the transmitter site deprived Canada of a valuable resource.

    1. B A , shortwave could be revived very quickly if needed. The tech, parts and ability are still here.

  5. A few days ago Mayor John Muhammed Tory of Toronto was ranting about crowds of people in parks, resulting in circles being painted. Today he is praising thousands of rent a mob protesters who marched on Bloor St. Ford stated that the people gathered in parks should be tested for the China virus. Will he be demanding that the protesters be tested? Meanwhile Great Leader Kim Sung Trudeau is still having great fun at his Harrington Lake resort.

  6. True North reports today that the Liberals and their NDP lapdogs have joined together to shut down a motion to hear from elected chiefs in B.C. How dare elected chiefs demand democracy in Great Leader’s dictatorship. True North also reports on how cars must social distance in B.C.

  7. Via Rebel:
Teresa Tran Tam helps PLA to have a list of all Canadian drug users by suggesting that they use Zoom to conference their drug use. Next the CCP will advertise fentanyl directly to their email addresses and phone numbers.

    1. At least it’s the right tribal group of Canadians to use as guinea pigs!

For a second there I was horrified to think it might be prisoners in supermax penitentiaries.

  8. Blackie’s CBC has a story on its website explaining that Trump is using dogs and ominous weapons on peaceful rioters and looters.

    1. Liz, good idea.
      I’ve been pushing Chi-com-covid but it’s too long I guess .

Also, all PRC “stats” need their own distinct propaganda category.

Media, bloggers, vloggers need to differentiate, or be seen as part of the problem.

  9. Attkisson has posted the complete video of the Minneapolis arrest that lead to the riot. For some reason I cannot post the URL here, so I will try disguising it.

The fact that the Medical Examiners report says that strangulation was NOT the cause of death not getting much traction either. See Powerline article on the subject.

  10. Blackie’s CBC had its Political Scrum show remind Canadians this morning that they are all racist bastards.

  11. So this has got me wondering WTF Kenney.??

In a report I read yesterday, the Alberta Govt will be handing out 20,000,000 Masks via drive thru restaurants. McDonalds, Tims and one more. Not sure how all of a sudden Alberta has 20,000,000 Face masks to hand out.??

There’s also increased NOISE about the wearing of masks in our vaunted MSM and
then there’s this about an Antonov AN-225 from China landing in Canada Last night….full of ChiCom PPE

    Obviously NOTHING to SEE here…

I find this article infuriating. It basically declares that our whole economy, from foreign students to housing to government debt, is dependent on immigration. If that is the truly the case, we’re fucking doomed. If innovation and technological advancements and fiscal responsibility and old fashioned planning have no economic weight, especially in the eyes of some dickhead from RBC, then Chinada is an even sicker place then I thought.

Soon UnMe the Fuckhead will chime in on how he needs to import dollar-an-hour slaves to drive him around or tend to his favourite pot in the greenhouse skyscraper.

    1. Buddy, lets not forget that Huff Post is left wing, and actually believes in this sort of rubbish.

Btw: a number of years ago the web-page editor of Huff Post Canada jumped ship in order to become the web-page editor of the CBC news web page. Shows you where CBC news is at.

  13. The Trumpster delivered a tour de force speech. He called it like it is. I thought he invoked the specter of Churchill.

In my most wild imagination I can’t invision any Canadian leader having the cojones to say the things he did. Throw in most other world leaders – think Stasi trained Merkel here.

Trump is on the ropes but he’s coming out swinging. Good strategy.

  14. Buddy you are correct.
What else would you expect from a kleptocracy.
The myth that Immigrants increase our wealth is blown in that very article.
The use of statistics to lie,is an art form.
Bring in 400 000 Instant citizens and behold our debt per person looks much better.
Of course if we did debt/contributing citizen,we would panic.
But any patch at all, as long as our “Civil servants” get to retirement where they can reap the reward of their fine work on our behalf.
Funny how an accountant in private practise would go to prison for these same “truths”.
Anyone have a number for the number of taxpaying citizens?
Constantly the poor wee minions, argue”We pay taxes too”.
Ignoring that their wage and those deductions from same, all come from same pocket.

    Do they pay taxes?
Or are they lied to,with respect to their real wage?
    They could be that gullible.
Well intentioned morons destroying what they seek to help?

That said the papering over the cracks of our financial abyss,is on par with the logic of “Investing in our future”,by expanding the welfare state.

  15. So Toronto is organizing street marches and colourful protests to have their say in USA affairs.
    Cause racism is bad.
But the Canadian Government issuing blatantly racist gun laws is A OK?
And Honouring self proclaimed “Hereditary Chiefs” while excluding the Elected Native Leaders..is just fine?
    Nothing Racist there right?
And of course having institutionalized racism,in the Indian Act, is not racist?
Stating that a race, natives, are incompetent to manage their own affairs?
    Nothing Racist about that eh?

Then to the Canadian versions of Black Lives Matter..except in Toronto where the daily shootings and stabbing form the “enriched social fabric”?
CBC is right ,we are racist bastards.
Our Liberal Style Cretins being most proud of and blind too their endemic racism.
Liberalism is a progressive disease and nothing demonstrates this better than blatant racists marching to “protest” racism.

    1. The most interesting thing to consider is that in the aftermath of the large crowds at Trinity-Bellwoods Park last week was the outrage on Facebook because people did not engage in socially distancing at a spontaneous event, while at yesterday’s planned demonstration at Christie Pits, some were wearing masks but social distancing was also notably absent. A most interesting tweet that I saw in the lead up to the demonstration was the instruction to wear a mask (o.k. during Covid-19) and to cover up any tattoos that could allow for identification. (Say what???) None of my contacts on Facebook has denounced yesterday’s demonstration during the current State of Emergency and indeed a spokesman for the Toronto Police Service has stated that it respects the public’s right to a peaceful protest: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/protest-toronto-regis-korchinski-paquet-1.5591745 Not one of the levels of government seems to have considered how they expect the State of Emergency to continue if it is not enforced.

      1. Nice photo.
After I viewed photos from your collection a few weeks ago, I posted how much I enjoyed them. Many thanks again!

I’ve been enjoying Mike Drew’s for many years.

  16. Blackie has given Tourism Toronto almost eight million dollars. Rumour has it the new motto will be “We Have The Best Painted Circles In Canada To Stand In. And Please Ignore The Shootings”

  17. Knowing that Nature never did betray The heart that loved her; ’tis her privilege, Through all the years of this our life, to lead From joy to joy; for she can so inform The mind that is within us, so impress With quietness and beauty, and so feed With lofty thoughts, that neither evil tongues, Rash judgements, nor the sneers of selfish men, Nor greetings where no kindness is, nor all The dreary intercourse of daily life, Shall e’er prevail against us, or disturb Our cheerful faith that all which we behold Is full of blessings . . .

Over the land freckled with snow half-thawed
The speculating rooks at their nests cawed
And saw from elm-tops, delicate as flowers of grass,
What we below could not see, Winter pass.
