    1. Maybe not so ‘poor’ Omar. What a disgrace this whole saga is from the start to present. And no doubt him and his lawyers will find more ways to make money from Canadians in the future. As disgraceful? The Silence from our Big Media Lambs.

      1. Boots, my Canada ceased to exist decades ago. A country is just a geographically located piece of dirt, the people who share common interests make up a country. The people of Canada bear no resemblance to the people I grew up with. This sad experiment with multiculturalism and diversity, combined with extreme socialism has turned this country into something unrecognizable by many of us. Running and hiding from a virus out of fear has shown me just how far we have fallen and how little freedom we now have. I have remarked many times on this and could white a thousand page thesis on what has and is happening, but no one gives a damn.

    1. I watched it earlier tonight. It was little more than yet another capitalism-bashing diatribe which can be summed up by “Earth good, humans bad.”

      1. I found it pathetic. The true believer of the green scam laments when he finds out he has been duped into thinking his religion was going to heal the world. Sad really. He kind of sounded like he wanted to pass around the Jimmy Jones kool aid.

      2. Having worked in the power production industry for the better part of 35 years, I’ve seen the best and worst of the industry. The worst is definitely the wind turbine industry for ecological damage to wildlife and natural habitat. Here is a site that will expose all of the horror of wind . https://stopthesethings.com/

        1. One of the drawbacks of wind turbine generators is their operating characteristics. For example, a large WTG won’t produce until the wind speed until it reaches the machine’s cut-in speed (say, 15 km/hr) because of the inertia of the rotor. Even then, it won’t reach peak output until the wind speed is considerably higher.

In the Edmonton area, the wind speed is below 15 kph for most of the time, so a larger WTG would be uneconomical as it would be idle. However, many smaller ones (which produce a few hundred Watts) will run at lower values, so those might be suitable instead.

Unfortunately, it appears that this aspect isn’t taken into consideration.

        2. As will “DOWNWIND” the movie….

A SUN TV Expose on Ontarios Green Energy WIND SCAM…including the NAZI like legislation that dissallowed local Municipalities the RIGHT to say NO.

Naming who, what, when, and where. (LIBERALS all….)

          EXCELLENT.

    2. I thought it was a good film — certainly a wake up call for a lot of enviro activists and also a naive public. The exploitation of the environment by big capitalists is a fair point. A wake up call of some sort is needed as renewables are causing significant damage for little or no value. Glavin’s article was not a very meaningful reflection of the content of the film. Don’t miss it. It really is thought provoking.

      1. On the other hand, I’m sure there are those people who figure that the environmental stuff won’t go away any time soon, so one may as well use it as an opportunity to make money.

It’s not that they’re hypocritical but that they recognize an opportunity and are prepared to take advantage of it.

        1. I enjoyed it also but it wasn’t long before you could recognize the Michele Moore angle. He’s anti-capitalist or to be frank a communist and his message is the Green Movement has used capitalism to forward their cause. But isn’t what they’ve used Crony Capitalism? Moores socialist position is they’re one and the same.

          1. Boots, It is always of interest as to why a millionaire, any one of them, billionaires as well, want to destroy that which allowed them to accumulate wealth. Do they actually think that they will retain control over a communist system? I can be 100% certain that they won’t be the one’s in control, they never are, they are purged by those with far more evil intent, only the “people” suffer.

          2. It could be the Russian versus American version of the one-wish-from-a-genie for a poor farmer who lives next to a prosperous farmer.

The American: “I want my work to make me rich, like my neighbour.”

The Russian: “I want his cow to die so he’s poor like me.”

I don’t think it matters to Michael Moore if he got rich under capitalism. It think it sticks in his craw that others have got richer.

      1. One of the problems I’ve encountered during my years of investigating renewable energy is that many of the advocates think that a one-size-fits-all solution will solve everything. Renewable energy systems are specific to their sites and simply planting a wind turbine generator or photovoltaic array just anywhere is a wrong way to go about it.

The biggest shortcoming I’ve found isn’t intermittency but storage. Current battery technology is restricted by its operating characteristics. Until there’s a major breakthrough, renewable systems will have only limited application.

Unfortunately, few advocates and fewer politicians appear to understand that.

        1. This film makes the oil and gas solution look good. If you want something plentiful that can be easily stored without batteries, there’s your answer. Technology has and will continue to make production cleaner.

          1. It isn’t that. The question is what to do with any excess power that’s produced after meeting the load demand. If it can’t be stored (usually in batteries, though there have been other methods considered, such as pumping water into a reservoir), then it’s wasted and there’s no return on the investment.

          2. Therein also- the first positive thing we’ve ever heard about the benefits of directional drilling. At last.

There are many more examples of good stuff — that’s a big one!

    3. He is correct; it Is all a Well subsidized green scam.

Not my fav person, but I am happy that he gets it, finally.

      1. And, the film should help a lot of other green zealots to “get it”. It will likely have an impact. Some groups and people are already pushing back and demanding the film be taken down– I think Michael Mann was one. I think the anti-capitslist theme is aimed at the big bankers and exploiters– like Al Gore, and phonies like Branson. I am glad to see their hypocrisy revealed. Just a lot of good information for people who have not looked carefully at renewables.

    4. I think Moore’s problem is that he hasn’t gotten the cut he feels entitled to ergo the green energy thing must be bad.
His logic is that if he isn’t being enriched then someone else is and that makes them the evil capitalist.

  1. THIS COULD DISRUPT CHINA’S PLANS FOR WORLD DOMINATION
In Race for a Coronavirus Vaccine, an Oxford Group Leaps Ahead – https://www.nytimes.com/2020/04/27/world/europe/coronavirus-vaccine-update-oxford.html

“Jenner Institute had a head start on a vaccine, having proved in previous trials that similar inoculations — including one LAST YEAR against an earlier coronavirus — were HARMLESS TO HUMANS. (It) enabled them to leap ahead and schedule tests of their new coronavirus vaccine involving more than 6,000 people by the end of next month.”

“…with an emergency approval from regulators, the FIRST FEW MILLION DOSES of their VACCINE COULD BE AVAILABLE BY SEPTEMBER –
I noted this earlier under Robert’s Reader Tips and am restating it as it is far more important than a treatment like Remdesivir. It appears to STOP WUHAN FLU in its tracks:
Scientists at the National Institutes of Health’s Rocky Mountain Laboratory in Montana last month inoculated six rhesus macaque monkeys with single doses of the Oxford vaccine. The animals were then exposed to heavy quantities of the virus that is causing the pandemic — exposure that had consistently sickened other monkeys in the lab. But more than 28 days later all six were healthy .

    1. Proud to have a daughter-in-law who is working on a vaccine for a bc-based private company. Good to major in stem courses at university!

    2. Funny how all these Labs around the pharma world have a “Potential Vaccine” for Cov-19
      – all in 90 days no less….!! How the Fk is that EVEN possible.??

While we are still waiting for vaccines for: H1N1, H1N5, Swine Flu, Bird Flu, Spanish flu, “the” flu, the common cold, HIV, Ebola etc.

I call BULLSHIT on their CLAIMS….or it leads to the notion this was an Deliberately engineered organism with a vaccine in place..??

      Gates – FAUCI – CCP – WHO – UN:
      Got anything to say..???

    1. WWI pilots, they rivaled Icarus.

Seeing them below him, they’d be a sight to heat the blood of Billy Bishop.

    1. **The health ministry’s infectious diseases chief Daniel Koch said scientists had concluded that young children did not transmit the virus.
However, he said such meetings should be brief and not involve babysitting.**

So.. if the conclusion is young kids DO NOT transmit the virus why should their meetings be brief? Doesn’t sound like a confident conclusion. Or is this necessary for possible lawsuits?

  3. OK, we are 16 weeks into the Wuhan flu pandemic (10 weeks in Europe, and 7 weeks or so in US and Canada). What I find amazing is no one in the maim street media, no politician, and no public health ‘expert’ has summarized what we have learned so far about the Wuhan flu.

Perhaps I’m wrong. If so, could SDA readers can direct me to some such learnings?

  4. Here is a table showing WHOs recommendations for non-pharmaceutical interventions for pandemics.

    https://mobile.twitter.com/DavidStaplesYEG/status/1255581218042597377

Ignoring the political side of the WHO, did any western public health agency follow these recommendations?

For example Democrats in NYC said let’s get out and about and enjoy very crowded public spaces.

Almost every western public health official and the maim street media, said masks are ineffective, so the public shouldn’t use them.

    1. Another great find!! I’m sure I’ve missed many, but thanks non the less & keep up the great work Joe!

Its interesting in the extreme the mask portion of the recommendations was down played, mocked & ignored. Almost as if on purpose.

Meanwhile, the chi-coms hoovered up the world’s supply of medical masks as described in great detail in the Global news report you posted in Wuhan thread.

  5. Blackie’s loyal CBC had the heartbreaking story last night, of the plight of refugees in Canada during this China virus outbreak.

  6. Toronto Sun reports that a bylaw will be changed in Mississauga Ont. to allow mosques to blare out calls to prayer during this lock down. And Islamic Toronto will follow suit if asked. Meanwhile Blazing Cat Fur has a couple of stories on Christians in Alberta being persecuted, including a ban on singing hymns. And the Sun reports on a Conservative MP who is being trashed for stating that since most of the China deaths are in nursing homes, why can’t we ease restrictions on going back to work.

  7. https://www.palmerfoundation.com.au/

This extremely wealthy Australian philanthropist has donated 23 million doses of hydroxychloroquine to the Government who warehoused it. Palmer took out a full page ad to make the public aware of the availability of a drug which is having significant success with COVID-19 patients. Here’s the info on the Foundation.

  8. Blackie’s CBC reports that whiny indians want a ban on new mining permits in Northern Ontario because of the China virus.

  9. The Media.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Plus ca change, plus c’est la meme chose.

(I like to show off the entirety of a 12 year French education in BILINGUAL New Brunswick. The ONLY BILINGUAL province in all of Canada. Where after 50 years of bilingualism less than 10 percent of Anglos are bilingual, which is great for the 30 percent French population, which is 95 percent bilingual in a province where jobs come bilingually preferred.
Canada’s Premiers during the Trudeau Constitution Heist are assholes. Every one. Particularly the NB Premier, Richard Hatfield, who was caught with weed and called “the Faded Pansy” by the Liberal Opposition. (You can do that if you’re Liberal)
Wonder how they “convinced” him to betray New Brunswick?)

If the last 3 paragraphs don’t describe the Canadian Media, I’ll eat Don Cherry’s suits. All of them.

John Swinton on the independence of the press:

Swinton (1829-1901), after moving to New York, wrote an occasional article for the New York Times and was hired on a regular basis in 1860 as head of the editorial staff. Afterward holding this position throughout the Civil War, he left the paper in 1870 and became active in the labor struggles of the day. He later served eight years in the same position on the New York Sun and later published a weekly labor sheet, John Swinton’s Paper.

The remarks were apparently made by Swinton, then the preeminent New York journalist, probably one night in 1880. Swinton was the guest of honour at a banquet given him by the leaders of his craft. Someone who knew neither the press nor Swinton offered a toast to the independent press. Swinton outraged his colleagues by replying:

There is no such thing, at this date of the world’s history, in America, as an independent press. You know it and I know it.

There is not one of you who dares to write your honest opinions, and if you did, you know beforehand that it would never appear in print. I am paid weekly for keeping my honest opinion out of the paper I am connected with. Others of you are paid similar salaries for similar things, and any of you who would be so foolish as to write honest opinions would be out on the streets looking for another job. If I allowed my honest opinions to appear in one issue of my paper, before twenty-four hours my occupation would be gone.

The business of the journalists is to destroy the truth, to lie outright, to pervert, to vilify, to fawn at the feet of mammon, and to sell his country and his race for his daily bread. You know it and I know it, and what folly is this toasting an independent press?

We are the tools and vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are the jumping jacks, they pull the strings and we dance. Our talents, our possibilities and our lives are all the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes.

  10. The PBO has announced this morning that the federal deficit will be over two hundred and fifty billion dollars. But don’t worry, Great Leader has promised that the budget will balance itself.

    1. I heard the debt to GDP ratio will be just shy of 50%!
Juthtin Shit-for-Brains Trudeau has spent like a drunken sailer on shore leave and he’s given the country a lethal dose

  11. The PBO also stated that Canada’s federal debt is fast approaching a trillion dollars. Wow, China can buy up Canada real cheap.

  12. Ontario MP’s are still harassing Sloan. Since Sloan has already said he did not intend to question Tam’s loyalty, they should drop it. This is typical of the kind of harassment media doles out against conservstives. We don ‘t need Conservatives helping to smear other Conservatives. This is why media never lets go (on stupidity, like whether or not Scheer thinks homosexuality is a sin.). Media are looking to goad Conservatives into some sort of embarasding corner. Sloan’s apology would make it look like his comment really was a racial slur. It will blow back on the Party. Also, if they want to go on harassing Sloan, they will lose a lot of social Conservative votes in the next election, when it counts. Conservatives need to show that they support and trust their colleagues.

    1. Yup.
The CPC is a big tent party, with no room in the tent for vertebrates, integrity, truth nor honesty..
The Eastern branch are just Uni-Party by their other name.
We ,the west, need to escape ..yesterday or sooner.
The absolute spinelessness of Her Majesty’s Loyal Opposition is truly amazing.
Supposedly we have a minority government in a crisis ,as in emergency, situation..
My suspicion is they, our elected representatives, are all clueless and quivering in fear..They are getting no clues from their polling, hence have no idea what to say or do.

The silver lining of this Wuhan Panic, the revelation of how useless and unnecessary our “helpers” are exposed as.
Power they lust for, responsibility they shun and any attempts to reason their way through a situation puts them into a coma.

  13. Another daily dose from Trudeau ,aside from his hair, he has a lot weighing on his poor brain for sure, Covid-19, the Nova Scotia tragedy and now a Canadian Navy helicopter crash with six crew on board.

      1. That’s because he puts a new squirrel or mink pelt on his head each time. Thanks to Dear Leader Prinz Dummkopf the Magnificent, the fur trade is doing well.

  14. Very interesting comment thread here today.

Quick update on Joe Rogan & Tim Pool, seems JRE clips of it are already out, good news news for those who want a sample of their conversation before investing much time.

    Cheers,

  15. Food for thought: most of the “conservative” news outlets in Canada ban/block the known Tor exit nodes.
Most of the liberal outlets do not.
You can access Tor Star through Tor. You cannot access National Post.
The world is not what it looks or sounds like at the first glance.

  16. Posted this earlier on WhuHan thread, I should’ve posted here…

Anyway, I highly recommend Adam Daniel Mesei. ADM: Fire Teresa Tam!
About 15 minutes, extremely well worth it. He has courage, he speaks up. Definitely not PC & but also not racist. Jmho.

Also, Chris Martenson at Peak Prosperity is well worth checking out. I really liked his post from 2 days ago “Why is the news still so inaccurate”

    Cheers

  17. Post Millennial has bizarre pictures of Climate Barbie fighting a punching bag.

  18. Drudge has gone full Borque. Not a single Flynn headline today? How can that be?

    1. Just read your post.
I didn’t bother to go to your link, I hate seeing her face. But just from the headline it is ridiculous.
Does she not know that the Wuhan Virus is ageist? The older you are, the more vulnerable, and the younger you are, the more immune. What is she going to do next? Launch an UN campaign to protect children from Alzheimer’s?

  19. Birds tweet that there may be a gun ban tomorrow. Anyone going to turn your guns in?

    1. Are you nuts???
Only wimps and scaredey cats will comply.
I have no respect for any one who would do so.
      Molon Labe you fairies!

      1. I hope that no one will. I am afraid that many will.
I will not. I do not want Canada to become another UK.
They will have to come and get them.

Also, if Boris Johnson was such a great champion of conservatism as some wish to portray him, he would have repealed the UK gun laws. So far his record in that regard is abysmal. No living conservative is conservative.

Sussex Drive is not really fortified, is it?

        1. I’m an old guy who has always obeyed the law. This time they are going over the top.
When the government starts to confiscate private property, It’s time to stand up and be counted. It has to stop here and now!
Sorry if this sounds like a rant but this is a watershed moment in democracy.

  20. Lilley at the Toronto Sun website writes about Blackie’s lies regarding gun control.

  21. L- Wuhan virus flies into Canada and hails a taxi, and another, and another…

“At least seven taxi drivers who work out of Pearson International Airport have died since the outbreak of COVID-19, according to an industry union.

“Seven had died. Four we know was from the coronavirus. The other three we don’t have confirmation of. There are another five on ventilators,” said Rajinder Aujla, president of the Airport Taxi Association.”
