“Leftists Are More Likely To Have Mental Illnesses, Far Left Being The WORST”
Does the list of mental illnesses include homosexuality and pedophilia?
It ought to.
In Calgary the cops are now doing mandatory breathe tests for every traffic stop.
Apparently some cops are discarding the plastic test straws on the ground.
https://calgary.ctvnews.ca/mobile/the-unintended-environmental-consequence-of-mandatory-roadside-checks-in-calgary-1.4809348
I’m looking forward to the day when we charge the cops with littering. Also for illegally using single use plastic straws. Sarc off
So straws are the issue here, CTV? STRAWS??
So straws are the issue here, CTV?
That nicely polished boot firmly pinning your throat to the ground is nothing when we’re talking about a
‘climate emergency’.
Sssshhhhh! Not so loud! We wouldn’t want to upset Greta, now would we?
Zeig heil, your papers please and a blood sample so we can expand our DNA database. Stupid Canadians. The only response from anyone stopped should be no. Clog the courts and make this communist/big brother government and law go away.
Jeebus, at first I thought you said “At every traffic light”. I feel better now.
I stagger when I walk, though. Wonder when I’ll get pulled over?
But,but, but, but I thought Calgary was in Alberta. The Western Canada.
All Conservative and only held back from Nirvana by all those nasty socialistic under the government thumb Eastern Canadians.
Maybe the Poleitza are only stopping Easterners?
Surely, righteous Western Conservative Canadians wouldn’t put up with this fascism for one second.
Although I guess, given the phony Conservativeness of the recent Western leaders(7 inning Stevie, Scheer Loser, Wrong Way Stockwell), and their penchant for being regularly spanked by Liberals and their Media; maybe Westerners are just all talk.
All hat and no cattle.
Sure looks like Whiner Central.
Of course, when one thinks of Douglas, Clark, Redford, Nenshi, Notley and Regina, Winnipeg, Redmonton and Lotusland etc, one realizes that this Great Western Canadian Conservative Shangrila will be somewhere north of Redmonton, south of the NWT, surrounded by reservations and the size of a postage stamp.
The cowardly French are rioting in France, the Canadian Indians are on the warpath and Quebec never shuts up.
What are you folks doing?
As usual, nada but whining and bending over for the gendarmees.
It’s truly amazing that those that yap the most, turtle the quickest.
Hey, there’s a name for your new country. Turtlevania.
Pathetic.
And embarrassing.
And so Canadian.
Justin, Calgary is just one more socialist bastion of stupidity. to think anything will change is to NOT THINK. Apparently a house roof is now a hill for captcha.
The rcmp are also administering breath tests at every stop. They no longer require reasonable or probable cause. They decide to stop you and you get to blow into the plastic straw. Refusing to blow gets you an impaired change. Thank you Jody Wilson Raybould.
You’d think command that the police force would see through this nonsense and order police to get back to policing. The grunt in the PC (police car) will do what he’s told. If a rectal exam was part of the process he’d gladly administer that as well.
The only hope is that at some point in the next 5 years this law will make it’s way to the SCC and be struck down. In modern first world countries laws like this shouldn’t even be contemplated. Police powers of this nature exist in the third world.

Draw your own conclusions. I give up.
Laws are for the little people.
Trudeau misses deadline for filing financial disclosure to ethics commissioner.
I guess he was too busy planning his bribery trips.
https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.theglobeandmail.com/amp/canada/article-trudeau-misses-deadline-for-filing-financial-disclosure-to-ethics/
He delayed it because he wanted to include all his “I’m gonna get me a UN seat” bribes. (Yeah, right.)
Or he’s drunk all the time…
Check out SGR’s report on how much booze Trudeau and his tag alongs drink on the airplane. This is just ON THE AIRPLANE.
https://twitter.com/SheilaGunnReid/status/1227789923056414720
And of course the Big Media is completely uninterested in reporting this because why would you want to screw up a good thing.
Drunk? Nah. He’s living high on the hog because he’s a Liberal and they’re always entitled to their entitlements. He’s going to grab as much with both hands as he can.
Boots,
Catered meals for airline trips are expensive, especially when you want to impress the sympathetic press that is flying with you. It’s hard to write something bad about the Lieberals when they are boozing and feeding you so damned well. It would be ungrateful of the press.
Serfs like Boots and us all don’t grasp the concept of globalist elites working hard for their people’s happiness.
Blackie McGroper needs to chill after a day spent working 12 to 14 hours tirelessly for his flock.
Expensive booze is key.
Speaking of bribery. Trudeau secures Senegal’s vote in his quest for a UN Security Council seat.
https://beta.ctvnews.ca/national/politics/2020/2/12/1_4808413.html
But, I believe the council seat votes are by secret ballot. So Trudeau will never know if Senegal voted for him. On the other hand Senegal will learn the value of a Trudeau promise to cough up money.
But, I believe the council seat votes are by secret ballot.
In other words, the bribes are passed under the table, where nobody can see them and figure out what’s going on. (Know what I mean? Know what I mean? Wink wink, nudge nudge.)
But, of course, we’re talking about the UN. That sort of thing would never be done there, now would it?
Quantity has a quality all of its own.
Lawyer bills over 6000 hours in a year.
https://www.overlawyered.com/2020/02/lawyer-billed-over-6600-hours-in-year/
Soon after my father died, and I started working on settling my father’s estate, I found out that I should have become a lawyer rather than an engineer.
I contacted the firm that prepared his will and was told that I would be charged several hundred dollars an hour just to look for a copy of it. I considered hiring a different firm to check over the probate documents I drew up and was told that its rate was somewhat less.
I ended up doing it all myself.
Lawyers are taught to be sharks. It’s in the ‘training’.
The only people lawyers are nice to besides their mothers are real estate agents. The bucks are in the closings and there are rarely any court dates or contentious cases, for that matter. It’s a sweet law practice along with doing Wills, with the assistants doing most of the detailed work.
When I filed the probate papers with the local court house, I was told that most people prepare the documents themselves. Now I wonder why that was….
The only thing with respect to my father’s will that I was not allowed to do myself was changing the title of the house. That, apparently, was B. C. law.
Everything else I arranged on my own with the applicable institutions. I figured that since I was the one who had to find all the information that the provincial supreme court needed, it would have been no great effort on my part to prepare the documents. As it turned out, I did a pretty decent job with only minor revisions required. I’d hate to think how much money I saved by doing that.
So much for the image of Perry Mason or Rumpole of the Bailey that the legal profession likes to cultivate.
Good for you. Sometimes one feels almost ‘guided’ by an inner strength coming through sheer will.
Hope that sounds right.
Thanks.
When I was working I discovered that a lawyer was charging us for 14 hour days. Seven of them. But he also charged a company we were partnered with for 14 hour days.
And they were the same days.
It was fun meeting him in person. The law society eventually ruled it was just a clerical mistake, but it was fun making him squirm.
Sort of reminds me of Joe Magliocca, a Calgary city councillor, who billed the city for thousands for meals and alcohol on a trip to Quebec City. Trouble was the people he said he had meals with all deny that they ate with him.
And now the City of Calgary Ethics Commissioner has recused himself from reviewing Magliocca’s case because Magliocca once bought lunch for the two of them. $160 bill for a place where lunch items are $18 to $36.
Nice to see that Calgary officials are learning from their progressive brethren in Quebec and the USA. Fortunately for us tax payers they are not yet as expensive as Trudeauites or the Bidens.
On Global News it was revealed that he will be paying for his booze Bill. Did you see the size of him? He’s a big fella.
He’s a real sponge.
Yep, Magliocca is almost as fat as mayor Nenshi.
I would like Nenshi and Magliocca to lose a lot of weight; that will reduce fuel emissions when they fly.
The legal “profession” is a racket. In a world where legal codes were drafted so as to be easy for a literate adult to understand, universal literacy would have sent them the way of the bards of pre-literate tribes.
(Go read your family Bible again. The law code of Moses is crystal clear and impossible to misunderstand. It is a work of genius—or rather divine inspiration. Human lawyers have devoted their lives to overturning it.)
As it is, lawyers control most legislatures, draft deliberately confusing and self-contradictory legislation, and then charge a king’s ransom to “interpret” it in the fashion most expedient to the highest bidder. Nice work if you can get it.
The losers? People who wind up in prison for crimes they did not commit because they can’t afford to pay a member of the lawyers’ guild what it costs to “get him off.”

https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/canada/rail-services-continue-to-feel-brunt-of-anti-pipeline-protests-across-country/ar-BBZXiBM?ocid=spartandhp
“Meanwhile, two hereditary chiefs from the British Columbia First Nation that is getting support from protesters across the country have launched a constitutional challenge of fossil fuel projects.
The challenge calls on the Federal Court to declare that Canada is constitutionally obliged to meet international climate change targets, which the chiefs contend would cancel approvals for a natural gas pipeline that runs through traditional Wet’suwet’en territory in northern B.C.”
Will protests and protester numbers grow today?
Get on the #ClownCarCanada train to see.
My goodness, Mr. Horgan was so coy on the news today, re pipeliens. Not his, of course – it’s for clean burning “gaz naturel”. He needs to watch, a goodly chunk of it comes from NW Alberta, so it isn’t all BC……..it’s inter-provincial, ie; Federal regulation. Then there is that niggly issue of COAL, all 37 MILLION TONNES of it, shipped across BC and exported from south of Vancouver: https://nationalpost.com/news/politics/yes-anti-pipeline-vancouver-really-is-north-americas-largest-exporter-of-coal every year.
So what was the point of all those land claims some 50 years ago? Yeah, I know: make whitey pay, just like what’s happening now.
Buddy – It has occurred to me the question that should be being asked is exactly what defines a hereditary chief ? Is it someone who is offspring of any former chief ? Do they get a designation when born? Is it only offspring from specific time frames ? Offspring from those who made treaties or agreements ? Or just people and relations who get the first cut of proceeds while the rest struggle to live ? It’s so easy for the press to create a buzz word that “becomes” reality.
This doesn’t really help. but…
http://www.firstnationsdrum.com/2019/02/the-complicated-history-of-hereditary-chiefs-and-elected-councils/
Christie say the 1920s were a turning point for First Nations communities in Canada, when the country put its foot down, making it illegal to litigate and shut down a lot of legal outlets for Indigenous communities.
“That was a time of strong resistance,” Christie says. “Canada’s response was to get more harsh in its position, and in some communities, it moved in and physically removed the old hereditary system and put in place the band council system.”
So I was right, CN and Via have both decided to quit which just helps the protesters.
Tomorrow is Friday and we all know how these dickheads loooove Fridays.
The useless OPP still haven’t cleared railway tracks in Ontario this morning. They haven’t even given the indians more gifts of maple syrup. The Assembly Of First Nations have taken the time to launch a ten billion dollar lawsuit against Blackie’s government over child welfare or something. Meanwhile the Liberal Party’s bought and paid for media is not outraged that the leaders of teacher unions in Ontario bought tickets to a Canadian Club luncheon. They heckled Ford’s education minister throughout his speech. Lots of outrage from the media when someone put an anti teacher union ad in the papers though. Daily life in union and indian controlled Canada.
Why should the OPP clear the protesters off the railway tracks?
Justin wants the provinces to solve a problem Justin and Butts created. I’m thinking the provincial premiers want no part of solving Justin’s problem.
Since Quebec won’t get propane, I have no problem with the blockade. Since Toronto, Ottawa, and Quebec voted in Trudeau, well they can live with what they created, and live with no rail service.
Plus look at the bright side: there will be fewer hydrocarbon emissions.

Blog/Rule of Law

QUESTION:
Mr. Armstrong, I really appreciate you are a student of law. I believe you should also write a book on the evolution of law for your understanding from the role of King Solomon on to our modern system deserves recognition. You seem to trace the fall of the rule of law and government is linked to the concentration of power into a centralized state. You have attributed the collapse of communism to that inability of a central power to adapt to the demanding conditions of the economic evolution of society. Would you care to comment on this development of centralized power and its critical role in the collapse of western society by 2032?
Thank you for your very enlightening research.
DH
ANSWER:
The evolution of the rule of law is fascinating. The biblical account of King Solomon presiding over two women in dispute over a child goes over the heads of most people. Solomon’s duty as king was the center of that account. The king’s role was to stand as impartial ruler between disputes. If you killed someone in ancient Greece, the family was to be the prosecutor — not the state. The only crimes that warranted a state trial were those against the gods or directly against the state as the victim. Hence, Socrates offended the state by corrupting the youth and stating his position that there was really just one god.

The Plight of the Democrats – Hillary to the Rescue?

COMMENT:
I was raised a Democrat. Your forecast that the Democrats would split by 2020 which you made more than 10 years ago I did not believe at the time. Flash forward, Joe Biden, who the Democrats wanted to impeach Trump for influencing the election against him, has been proven to be a joke. Biden came in fourth in Iowa behind a professed communist, an open Gay guy, and a fake Indian. In New Hampshire, he even came in fifth behind Amy Klobuchar who is a lawyer. I now concede that the Democratic party has no choice but to split. I never thought I would say this, but Trump looks normal against this crowd.

The Liberal Party’s Toronto Star explains this morning that evil Jason Kenney is being treated with kid gloves, while indians are being met with police assault weapons with orders to kill. And the Liberal Party’s Globe and Mail reports that the anti democracy hereditary chiefs in B.C are suing the federal government(taxpayers) over global warming. Gee, I wonder who is paying for their lawyers?

Will Justin comply? This could affect the Security Council seat he wants to buy.
One week after Rebel Media broke a story about the foreign backing of the pipeline protesters one of our state funded stenographers inside the MTV is horrified about the breakdown in order in Canada. However if you peruse the linked article Mr Ivison only makes one reference to “outsiders” co-opting the protests with nary a passing interest about who they are. The gist of his article seems framed around the inconvenience forced on those inhabitants of the Montreal Toronto corridor. Oh the temerity that a journalist was barred from entry into a legislative assembly the horror yet on the plight of out of work Westerners is not mentioned once in the diatribe.
If I may be so bold as to suggest that fellow readers of this blog contribute some comments to “help” Mr Ivison and encourage him to further investigate the origins of the outsiders. Maybe suggest that he get in contact with Rebel Media for some pointers.

Yes. Unfortunately.
When sanity returns to Canadian government, the only significant group of people who will be allowed to settle permanently in the west are the Russian wives of white Canadian men who are willing to come here to do the jobs of keeping house, raising children and supporting their husbands that the fat, lazy, vain, useless, “woke” Canadian female refuses to do.
Needless to say, the Libranos have no plans to encourage immigration by people whose arrival would benefit the people who do all the work and pay all the taxes. The people who suck their blood, yes.
Next question?
The Liberal Party’s CBC is excited that one of Blackie’s whiny indian ministers has sent an email to blockade participants in Ontario, that he wants to come meet with them and have a little talk. In other words the train track blockade will go on for weeks.
The Rt. Hon. Trud eau did mention two days ago that we must “dialogue” more between the two sides. And Transportation Minister Marc Garneau is “concerned”.
The only guy who’s talking like a leader on this file is Prime Minister Jason Kenney
If Garneau was replaced by a department store mannequin, could anyone tell the difference?

The Roger Stone trial is totally unravelling. I was prepared for some truly despicable creatures emerging from the swamp as it was being drained but now realizing it is much much deeper than imagined. I remember a couple of years ago as commenters were impatient for indictments and perp walks to start someone said something like the swamp must be drained slowly and carefully.
