Another Oil Train Fire

The second in two months. But at least the environment is safe from pipelines.

“At about 6:15 a.m. I heard brakes on the train squealing, and all of a sudden they came to an abrupt stop. I looked around my yard, and I could see a really big orange glow in the air,” he said. “It’s just another sad day, because it’s a large train wreck.”

“I had thought of going that direction (along Highway 16) with a set of super Bs (semi trailers) that I drive, and if I had gotten close to the tracks and this had happened, that would not have been good.”

For those not paying attention: Pipeline spills are national news, burning derailments are local.

  1. …and not a peep from our “nurturing & caring” Federal Govt. Ministry of the Environment.

One gets the feeling they rather like seeing our product go up in flames. But likely quietly disappointed it didn’t happen in an urban setting. They do seen intent on killing us all.

  2. A feature of climate change hysterics is to ignore all factors in decision making except hyper alarmist climate change models (almost always based on the now debunked RCP8.5 false “business as usual” scenario). Safety, jobs, international investment, energy poverty, increased government debt, etc. are basically ignored in this quest to “save planet earth” and “save humanity”… despite humans and Earth having escaped those apocalyptic climate change deadlines each and every time since alarmists started making predictions.

Anyway, at this point I’m kinda glad the closest town had its railine ripped out during rail companies downsizing a few decades ago. No train crossing delays, quieter, no collisions, no injuries, no spills or derailments.

  3. A feature not a bug.
Gang Green would rather we die in a senseless fire than see us use the abundant energy of fossil fuels productively.
    Duh..Climate Emergency..Fossil fuels bad..
Coal veins burn on with no plan by the “Emergency Services” to douse the flames..
Now that is what I call an emergency.
Or a fake crisis of a fake panic.
Actually these random crashes and burn outs may fit very well into the UN agenda to confine the population to “High density” living quarters.Assuming these accidents are just that and random as well.
When do we boot the feds?
And all their stupid restrictions and posturing?
Has anyone else done the maths?
The Canadian Apartheid system costs enough that we could make every native a multi millionare in a one time cash payout, fire all the parasites and still come out ahead?
Government “help” has done our “first comers” or “here before you’s” no good at all.
Their ancestors were smart enough to survive the stone age and near continuous warfare, yet with the help of our grey minions, they have devolved to needy whiney victims??
The absolute stunning hypocrisy of Canadians has never been better demonstrated, than by our bycott of White South Africa.
We provided the template and proven success of “Separate but Equal” “Har Har”,then we berated them for using it.
    When will it end?
Not before the West declares Independence and a bill of rights similar to the USA.
For rule of law has no room for some more special than others.

We can’t build pipe lines to safely transport a product we will be dependent on far into the forseeble future, because of “Native Rights”?
Which were cancelled by conquest 200 years ago?

Now the late British Empire was sneaky, direct and obvious extermination of the conquered was no longer acceptable nor necessary, so treaties were used.
Inherent in those treaties was the iron fist.
Sign or we bring in the Redcoats.
    Just ask poor Poundmaker.

  4. hmmm and more than one Unifor thug at the illegal blockade has threatened to burn CO-OP tanker trucks, it’s not that far of a stretch to think they’ve committed acts of terrorism against a train

  5. Will the Sask. Party rise to the occasion and defend the interests of Saskatchewan ?

So far, no prov. police force, no provincial pension plan, no support for a citizenry beset by a high level of crime, created by federal perfidy and hubris, not even choosing to hold elections for Senate appointments, meekly allowing Trudeau to stack it with leftist ideologues.

Saskatchewan’s Co-op Refinery” supply of transportation fuel is barricaded by a gang of extremist, lefty thugs directed out of Toronto. While an extremist, lefty City Council in Regina handcuff that city’s police.

The Trudeau Libranos watch repeated oil train car wrecks, see Saskatchewan burn. Then they chortle, fiddle and toke-up. Confident that the government of Saskatchewan will choke and sputter, without the courage to play their only trump card, a provincial vote on…

  6. Blackie’s Transport Minister has solved the problem. He has ordered trains to slow down.
