In last night’s RSS feed of The John Batchelor Show was a repeat of an interview he conducted with the author of the book Churchill’s Secret War: The British Empire and the Ravaging of India.
In it, she describes Winston Churchill’s policies with respect to suppressing the independence movement, particularly during WW II. She mentions that apparently people were deliberately starved or had their ways of making a living hampered, if not destroyed. The rationale was that people would be so busy trying to stay alive that independence would no longer be a priority.

In last night’s RSS feed of The John Batchelor Show was a repeat of an interview he conducted with the author of the book Churchill’s Secret War: The British Empire and the Ravaging of India.
In it, she describes Winston Churchill’s policies with respect to suppressing the independence movement, particularly during WW II. She mentions that apparently people were deliberately starved or had their ways of making a living hampered, if not destroyed. The rationale was that people would be so busy trying to stay alive that independence would no longer be a priority.
