Toronto-based SJW, Andray Domise, is convinced that capitalism is the root cause of all of our problems:
There’s no way around a simple reality for people who consider themselves to be on the left side of the political spectrum, the people who strive for widespread and radical, if not revolutionary, change—we’re getting our tails kicked. There’s no putting an end to that if people who hold left-leaning ideals cannot quit kidding themselves by believing that capitalism exists as a benevolent or even neutral social arrangement. If the left intends to win these fights, it must also stand in principled opposition to capitalism. 2020 is the year to do it.
But the truth of the matter is this: 58 per cent of Canadians have a favourable view of socialism, and 77 per cent of us believe the world is facing a climate emergency. Most Canadians find income inequality to be fundamentally un-Canadian, and there are, numerically, more of us than there are bankers, landlords, brokers and executives put together. The only way for the left to win this fight is for its political vision to expand beyond capitalism, and to capture the widespread desire to move on from its exploitative limits.
Here’s an alternative idea: Why don’t all of the capitalist-hating, communist-loving Canadians build a new metropolis above the 55th Parallel? There’s so much unused land that far north. I’m sure a deal could be worked out if the thousands of them were to vacate our cities to move up there to build their SJW Nirvana. In doing so, they could show us how a non-capitalist, non-fossil fuel society could be created and thrive! C’mon Andray, lead your legions of like-minded Canadians up there and show us neanderthals how it’s done!

Look at the bright side. Socialism would stop immigration in its tracks. Why would anyone want to immigrate to a socialist society?

Don’t worry about buying stuff, most will be deemed unnecessary. Food will be rationed to ensure you eat “better” and because the collective farms can’t produce enough to feed the population.

Actually creating their own socialist paradise would be cheaper than letting continue to sponge off of the rest of us.
We already have the Canadian Apartheid System for natives,Nunavut,The Rest of It and the Yukon that are near pure sponges of Taxpayer funds,so why not the Carbon free Socialist Paradise.
Northern Manitoba,north of Churchill would be good,Coates Island would be even better.
It would be worth the additional debt imposed on the Canadian taxpayer, just for the pure pleasure of their agony.

Here’s a challenge for the left. If 58% of Canadians have a favourable view of socialism how many of them are willing to take up arms and bring it on? Socialism is state coercion, backed by force of law with weapons of violence. If they are only willing to “vote” for it then they really don’t have the courage of their convictions as they think they want the state to do what they don’t have the guts to do. How many fat, lazy, public servants, teachers, professors, union slobs, journalists, artists, lawyers, and social workers have what it takes to point guns at their neighbours and take away their means of making a living, transporting food, going to work, selling goods, building things, growing things, etc based on mass hysteria and pseudo-scientific horseshit?
At least this asshole has come clean with the underlying communism behind the green movement. It’s the bulk of his 58% that is mostly mindless mushy middle of the electorate that is the problem as they don’t know what they don’t know.
It looks like Venezuela is leaking citizens over its borders with its neighbouring countries. Maybe wannabe socialists could backfill.
Providing them one way airfare to Venezuela should be a cheaper and more final solution than sending them north of 55. I live on 54 and am just an old guy and can’t stop them from sneaking back south after a few weeks w/o their smart phones.

The current decade started @ midnight Dec. 31/09- Jan. 01/10 so the new decade starts @ midnight Dec.31/19 – Jan. 01/20.
Better yet, give them all one-way tickets to Cuba or Venezuela, where they can experience socialism RIGHT NOW.

Some years ago Buddy picked up a hitchhiker near Nelson. He was a vegetarian but he guessed it was ok for buddy to buy him a hamburger since he was travelling. He told buddy he was headed back to mommy & daddy in Pennsylvania. Turns out he’d spent the summer in the sun playing his guitar. Came time when he needed fire wood it took him a day to cut it and two days in bed to recover. Then was time to cut again.
Then his water bed froze.

Following spring buddy noticed same guy walking dejectedly along street. Stopped and offered another hamburger. He guessed that would be okay. Over the hamburger his new take of woe unfolded.
Seems he left his “old lady” to fend for herself for the winter with the frozen water bed. Well, she got a new bed warmer and the ungrateful wench and her new “old man” ran him off when he showed back up.

Harder to imagine the end of the world than the end of “capitalism?” It would amount to the same thing. Once the revolutionaries have killed everybody who isn’t too stupid (or too afflicted by brain damage caused by alcohol poisoning) to keep industrial civilization ticking over, it will collapse. Then the revolutionaries will starve to death.
This is essentially what has happened in Venezuela. The local Negroes and Indians drove out the white bourgeoisie. The rest is history.

The progressive movement is winning in Canada without much of a fight. They are unchallenged in the school system, the media and union controlled government workers. In essence the Liebels nationalized the media in Canada with a paltry $600 million of taxpayer money.
I don’t see any leadership on the right other than Bernier’s PPC. That said I will never vote for a party led by an easterner again, particularly Quebec. I don’t say that in a nasty way as I actually admire Quebecers sense of unity and purpose. 2019 was my departure as a Canadian who supports a national government as constituted. Easterners feel that raping the West is their right. My political energy is now baased on Wexit.
