    1. I call BS on your BS. Average temps in Melbourne for end of Nov are low 20s – today is 14. Pretty cool. 17, 13, 19, 17, 23, 17, 18 for the next week. Pretty cool summer (about 5 deg cooler than usual).

      But you did select one of the few cities outside the cold zone, so nice fake newsing.

        Wx in Perth area right now is within the seasonals for late spring..

        1. I prefer Brisbane and the Gold Coast, one of the other few areas in Australia (like Perth) that missed the cold snap (probably the coastal area temperatures are better moderated).

  5. The “Ventusky” weather chart has nothing like what David Birch of the UK is saying. They are looking pretty normal temps. BS is what David Birch is trying to spread. I agree with Steve from Rockwood. This new weather chart is fantastic select what you want to know and it is amazing!!

      ..used it again for Dorian..and it was way off the whole time

    (remember it’s all upside down and rotating opposite to our hemisphere when you get down under)
    Cold front has moved through all of the areas shown as relatively cold on the map posted on SDA.
    The cloud explains the larger temperature anomalies in normally sunny central South Australia and southwest NSW.
    Keep in mind it’s like the end of May to us down there, and in temperate areas closer to the Antarctic and the Grt Aus Bight that means fairly easy to get some marine layers that are recently ocean-cooled. Melbourne often gets occasional chilly weather in November and December, with heat more likely in January and February, as the mid-continent heat sink expands.
    You can also see on the satellite image pre-frontal thunderstorms in the Brisbane area, and what looks like strong frontal development heading into the South Island of NZ.
    North of the equator there’s a rather weak typhoon (about a cat-2) heading west to the central Philippines, if you want to see more on that click on the link’s “tropical cyclone information” down the menu. In passing I could also say if you want to see more detail for Australian weather the link is gov.bom.au.

    From some commentary on here I think I need to point out that the map posted is an anomaly map and not an actual temperature map. The -12 means 12 deg below normal. As normal around the salt lakes north of Adelaide is probably well in excess of 30 C that might mean low 20s C. Under cloud that seems reasonable. I was in Utah in August of 2014 on a cloudy day and it was about like that. Even deserts need sunshine to get hot.

  7. It’s really is funny I was just in WXCHARTS for Friday 29th of Nov. 2019 and this chart looks like nothing that David Birch is showing. He is a Propagandist spreading FAKE NEWS!!

    1. This is the chart he is publicizing, which is a temp anomaly chart, rather than a temp chart. It’s showing that the current numbers for those areas are outside the expected numbers… based upon the data from 1979-2010, which isn’t all that helpful since we really should have data for the last 9 years.

      Most of the vocal warmists, will also cherrypick data that supports their side, and have all of the press on their side to amplify their cherry picking.

  8. NASA stated that this year was the coolest sun in 100 years. They predict next year will be the coldest sun in 200 years. We are in a Grand Solar Minimum. Which means low solar output, which means a colder planet. With GSM and low output you get changes in ocean currents and the jet stream, Here is a chart showing previous warm periods an GSM’s. If you look at the chart our current warm period is much cooler than the last one. The over all trend is a colder planet.

  9. Given that the year is divided into quarters(four seasons), Spring is on/or about March 21, then Summer cannot be November 29.
    November 29 must therefore still be considered to be Fall and Winter begins somewhere around December 20.(near Christmas)

    It therefore follows that it is NOT Summer in the Southern Hemisphere.(note to supposed Mensa level IQs)
