Best Canadian Blog
2004 - 2007
Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

When you see the “OK Boomer”, you know you are dealing with a mental cripple.
Yes, it appears that the “orange man bad” drones have received a code upgrade.
Joey, When I hear “OK Boomer”, I reply ”what do you want now child”
It’s the current lawsuit of Vegans against Burger King. Impossible burgers were popular as a vegan treat… because they were cooked in beef fat and could include egg-white based mayonnaise on the bun. So which is more important to them, that it has a flavour that people like, or that it’s vegan?
Because, after all, vegan food is never, ever advertised as being meat flavoured.
And you always see signs for beef and pork advertising that it now has that great Soy flavour. (/gag, rather than /sarc)
I don’t get the joke? Sorry, can someone explain?
I’m with you, Sea Salt. I have no idea what that was all about. None.
Don’t be so salty. Oh, wait… You’re fake meat. You have no other taste.

Just one of these fake-meat burgers have something like 95-120% of your daily recommended sodium limit. But hey, don’t let a little cardiac emergency come between some woke vegan friends. The atmosphere is more important than your heart, apparently.
And while we’re at it…what Ok boomer means. No, what it really means. Personally, I don’t really get it.

“OK boomer is an instantly relatable cry of frustration to many [millennials]”.
“What “OK boomer” is really about: economic anxiety, the threat of environmental collapse, and people resisting change”.
“OK boomer is an emotionally valid response to boomer condescension”.
Ok millennial.
“OK Boomer” means “I’m sure you have a long, drawn out explanation for why I’m wrong, with lots of facts and reason and historic references, but I feel that I’m right so F U.”
“emotionally valid”
aka invalid.
“economic anxiety, ”
aka: not enough free shit
“the threat of environmental collapse”
aka: lack of capacity for critical thought
“and people resisting change”
aka: lack of capacity for independent thought
A better reply is OK fuuktard
‘OK Boomer’ is a pitiful excuse for an insult and sort of highlights the speaker’s deficiency in critical thinking skills. Boomers are generally defined as those born between 1946 and 1964; a demographic in the majority on this blog site I’m willing to bet and in more than a few social settings experienced daily.
How is stating the obvious an insult? As our boomer group starts thinning out checking into our ‘long home’ perhaps that meme will make some sense.

Agreed, Kate – someone from @Beef is clever, and gets it. Outwit, outlast.
