1. Over the past 20 years a significant potion of my retirement fund has been invested in Asian/Chinese funds, they’ve done OK. I liquidated all of my Canadian funds when the Black-faced Minstrel was elected. Both seem sound investment choices at this time – future results . . . time will tell ? ?

   When in doubt – buy ammo.

2. They are chasing the 7% return that the pension fund requires to stay solvent, while investing in companies in a country lacking the rule of law, or a functioning court system, that also has a high amount of corruption. Fortunately, the fund managers work for a government sponsored enterprise, so they never have to worry about being called to account on their foreseeable failures.

   1. So much for CALPERS “divestment” from all the: fossil-fuel, cigarette, gun-maker, Israeli, etc. leftist dujour HATE campaign … to ensure their $T’s are invested in “politically correct” corporations.

      BTW … Saint Calaveras (Fault) paid us a visit at about 10:30p last night with a moderate 4.5 earthquake … that felt like the epicenter was directly under my house (it was close). Two very sharp, very loud shakes that rattled my dishes and knocked a picture off a chair rail it was propped on – shattering picture and frame. Just a reminder, that my house will be flattened some day. Just kidding, it is well remodeled and retrofitted.

3. It’s fitting that the public “servants” of California are invested in the military businesses of one of three nations with nuclear missiles aimed at them.

   1. Jerry Brown made multiple trips to China … the world’s largest polluter … to get some tips on governance.

      1. He must appreciate their dictatorship as much as young Trudeau does.

4. You expect them to care? Those civil servants would greet the PLA as liberators.

   What Californians ought to be asking is why those bloodsuckers deserve a pension at all.
   Nobody who works for a living can depend on a pension any more, in California or anywhere else.

   We’ll be living on the charity of whichever of our children will agree to take us in (i.e. the ones without a spouse determined to trump up some excuse to slam the door in our faces).

   Any civil servants looking for support in their old age should be referred to their cats—the only living creatures who owe their “mommies” a bloody thing.

We have our own Teachers Pension fund (Ontario) & OMErs (municipal employees) invested in gas exploration and production and dreaded nuclear and capitalist financial institutions and office towers. Invest in some trees in the Amazon and wind turbines and whatever government subsidized scams and you get indulgences from Saint Greta sparing you from hell for all your sins.
   Indulgences will pave the way to a “zero” carbon economy while lining the pockets of the select few.

   I am addicted to following this but I don’t think anyone knows whats happening and all would like it over, except the bastard Europeans and their treacherous lackies in the UK. The latter because they know they will be lynched, perhaps only metaphorically if they are lucky, if Brexit doesn’t happen and at an election. The former have always hated the English and will do anything to keep the UK enshackled.
