I researched the grammar Nazi’s lesson. “Less”, including distinct numbers, has been around since Anglo-Saxon. A grammar Nazi, 300 years ago, invented fewer for things quantified by distinct numbers and it is by no means universal or even the most common usage. The usage varies by dialect. I suspect it is limited to upper crust English with a twisted colon and English majors.
Gen. Powell is an honorable man. He has risked his life and worked hard for his country. He has every right to criticize President Trump. The foreign situation Trump inherited is the result of decisions made by men like Gen. Powell, that’s one reason it’s a mess. Trump is trying different solutions, it’s not pretty but who knows how it will turn out ? There may not be any good solutions.
Powell is a crook. Always has been, always will be. Look into what boards he sits on, and how he’s made his money since leaving the military and politics.
Nobody makes flag rank in the US military without being bent, and having full membership in the cabal. They’ve invested themselves and their credibility into the system, and they’re all compromised. Witness Mattis and his little fiddle with Amazon; note the boards he sits on, and start asking questions about just what it is he does on them. Those positions are just like the multi-million dollar book deals they make with the likes of the Clintons, merely camouflage for graft pay-outs.
