Basically, warmists are people who cannot make it in a real science, and prostitute themselves by desecrating science to produce desired output by their masters the globalist politicians who supply them the grants. They fake data by selecting sites with known temperature bias (such as tarmacs of airports and exhausts of air conditioners), and “harmonizing” rural data to agree with urban data rather than vice versa, which is the scientific process to remove urban heat island bias. When even the fake data cannot give them the heating they want, they resort to models as though somehow they were better than real data. They lay low if natural variations drive the temperature down, but scream catastrophic heating every time natural variations drive the temperature up.
They are frauds, scam artists, prostitutes, and anything but scientists. They want to ban the cheapest, most available (and if truth be known essentially inexhaustible) source of energy, hydrocarbons, in favor of ineffective and at best inconsistent sources of energy, windmills and solar panels. The irony is, production of those things are more environmentally damaging than anything hydrocarbons can do. And no, they are no more “renewable” than an oil well. They too have expiration dates. An oil well that runs dry in 20 years has an expiration date of 20 years. Before that it is “renewable.” The generators in the windmills have a typical half life of 20 years. When the generator goes down (sometimes in spectacular flame, mostly just breaks down) there is no replacement. The whole windmill is done. It is the same as an oil well going dry. But, yeah, before that it is “renewable.” LOL
The whole concept of peak oil is a scam. The more oil we use force us to discover more oil. And it turns out that oil comes out of nearly everywhere. Known reserves go to the end of the century, whereas before known reserves only go to the end of the decade. Why? Because oil is NOT “fossil” fuel. The “scientists” have finally admitted at least it is not from dinosaurs. But the numbers hardly work better to claim they come from plants. Oil is actually manufactured by the earth in the crust/mantle interface under great pressure, and seeps up to near the surface. So for all practical purposes it is limitless.
We have a fuel whose products are beneficial (carbon dioxide and water), which is limitless, and cheap. It can be much cheaper than the artificially manipulated price set by OPEC, i.e. Saudi Arabia. In fact, flooding the market with cheap oil not only allows third world countries access to energy, it will collapse the wealth of oil producing Islamic countries. What is not to like?
What seven billion people need the most are three things: clean water, cheap source of energy, and plentiful food production. Carbon dioxide aids in crop production. Ask any hothouse operator. Slight warming would actually aid in crop production. And scientific development (what is derisively called GMO, so who is anti-science?) aid in crop production. Put together, we have almost annual record bumper crops that more than suffice to feed the seven billion people. What people in the third world have dire need of is clean water. If the U.N. really worried about the people, they would put the money they waste on “renewable” energy into finding ways to supply clean water. With that, the whole world can become first world, and the population will take care of itself as it has currently in the first world.

I think the climate change hysteria is reaching it’s peak. In fact, I think the motivation behind the climate change children’s crusade was that alarmism campaign was waning in effectiveness. They needed a new schtick to re-energize the climate armageddon agenda. Using a child as a prop to promote hysteria and as a human shield to block rational debate has got to be the last resort of a dying movement.
