Several news outlets are now reporting that U.S. Attorney for DC, Jessie Liu, will likely indict former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe for lying to FBI investigators.
 
The reporting is based on leaked email communications from the lawyers representing Andrew McCabe, where McCabe’s legal appeals to Main Justice and current DOJ Deputy Attorney General James Rosen were rejected.

      Then Mr. Trudeau can explain why he muzzled his ministers and refused to let the Ethics Commissioner testify on the matter.

    When I saw similar headlines elsewhere, I’m afraid I automatically dismissed it as just more ‘we’ve got them now’ white noise. Ha, I don’t know if there is a clinical name for this, but I doubt I am the only visitor here burned out from ‘Promises of Justice Fatigue’.

    1. And also the one stonewalling the requests for disclosure of exculpatory material made by General Flynn’s new lawyer, if I recall correctly.

    Hey, that’s awesome. I’ll have to keep that in mind the next time the DOJ sets their eyes on me. Apparently, you can appeal that discretion. So, if I object to them indicting me I’ll just ask for a meeting with the Deputy Attorney General and Main Justice. Why, I wasn’t aware that a plebe like me had access to such.

    We can share a cup of coffee and I can tell them I had no intent.

    Maybe they are attacking what they think is the weakest point. Maybe McCabe will squeal in exchange for a plea bargain. That would be so sweet.

  10. Ironic joke of the week from McCabe’s lawyer, trying to use rumours to dismiss charges against his dirty, corrupt knob of a client:

    “We do not know the specific basis for the rumors, but they were credible enough that both the NY Times and Washington Post published stories suggesting that the grand jury may have declined to vote in favor of charges,” Bromwich said.
